We purchased a vehicle through Motorcars of Kalamazoo and had a bad experience. All of the people we talked with were nice, but the way they handled everything was wrong. They said they took the car in for maintenance and to be fixed for a low pressure light that was on, had it for a week (after stating they would have it back in two days, then made an appointment to buy the car in which they still didn't have the car back and we had to drive back to the business again 3 times before they had the car there), saying that the wheel issue was fixed - it was not. A week after we had the car the light came back on. We called multiple times and didn't hear back - then left a bad review on their site, then they called saying they would fix the issue. They told us to take it to a tire place and have them fix it, that Motorcars would pay for it. We took it to Discount Tire, where we were told it needed a new wheels (I had specifically asked Motorcars to check that as I had a similar issue with another car), so we got new wheels assuming that Motorcars would at least pay for the one problematic wheel. Instead they said that since it wasn't the issue they thought it was (a sensor) they were not going to pay for anything. So, we spent hundreds on an issue they said was fixed then wasn't and/or that they would pay for, then refused. Also, we did the financing through them, so that we could do a joint loan, which they only did it under one of our names (also almost left a soc# sitting out on the desk until I mentioned they should not before leaving). Then we had to contact them to send us the license plate (I would have assumed they would mail that out as soon as possible when they received it). They told us they would also mail out the second set of keys, they never did and after continuously calling they said there must not be another set of keys. All in all, every step seemed like they lied to us and didn't do the work they said they would do. We felt scammed.

Signed an agreement on a vehicle on 1/14/23 at 1:35pm. ***** had closed by this time and it was agreed that the vehicle would be taken off the listing and marked as pending. Arrangements were made to meet to finalize the sale on Tuesday, 1/ 17/23, as Monday 1/16/23 was a holiday and no banks were open. Went to the bank on 1/17/23 at 12pm, they cut the check in full for the purchase of the vehicles, insurance was added to our policy on the vehicle and we went directly to the dealership. When we arrived, we were told that the dealership in *******, ********, had taken in a deposit for the sale of that vehicle that morning, 1/17/23. We were there with a check for the full sale price $30,000 as arranged and signed on the previous Saturday. We were told that they would not sell us the car. That it was going to be sold to a different person later on. We have sales agreements, insurance on the vehicle and a check in hand??? How does this happen?
