THEY ARE PRACTICING WITHOUT A LICENSE AND WITHOUT A PHYSICAL ************** OFFICE. Which is against the laws via the ************** *********************** I tried filing at the Richland ****** Magistrate ******* but they cannot serve an PO Box and have to have a ** address. Additionally, Sylvan Homes is unlawfully and untruthfully charging me for missed maintenance appointments when their team is the one who never showed **. Ive submitted proof of this in the form of phone calls, texts, and emails. They have changed the dates of the missed appointments twice. Its been 11 months with no response back and continuous follow **** I am not allowed to speak with management and can only talk to costumer service which walks the line of being against the law per the ********************** as residents should have access to the Property Managers. Lastly, the employee show countersigned my lease is not licensed to countersign in the ***********************. I have more conversations via email of the past two months going back and forth with the costumer service department to receive a response from upper management, to receive license numbers, and the ** address.Initial Complaint

My partner and I are renting a home from Sylvan Homes. We moved into the residence in early May. Since our first maintenance request was filed within 72 hours of our move in date, there has been nothing close to a solution to the original issues. These included electrical wiring issues which possessed potential dangers to the young children who live in the home. Every single conversation with the company's "customer service" employees were filled with constant hollow apologies and blatant lies, but entirely lacking answers, information, solutions, or basic human empathy. Additional issues have arisen during our time here with the same results. Every single phone number provided was forwarded to an answering service and almost every time, it rang unanswered with no option to leave a message. The dozens of messages I did leave were not returned. Two different electricians visited the home and were not able to even begin to address the issues on the first visit and on the second he provided a temporary (less than 24 hour) fix. Countless promises from "customer service" that ********************' representatives would be contacting us to solve our issues became legitimately insulting after weeks. The ONLY contact that was made was by the collections department when I emailed that I would not be paying rent until I spoke with someone from Sylvan Homes. They also told me someone would contact me and still nothing. I truly do not understand how they are permitted to continue to do business, considering the amount of complaints eerily similar to mine I saw just scrolling quickly through their reviews. It is despicable for a company that is supposed to provide safe homes for families to show complete and utter lack of concern for their tenants. Sylvan Homes is in violation of the terms set in the lease. Our multiple attempts to notify them that we will be vacating the property, as it has been deemed unsafe, have been ignored.
