I had a deer run in front of my car and the front corner of my vehicle was damaged. I took my car to Gerber Collision of Lake Orion on 11/02/22 and picked the vehicle up again around 11/28/22. When I picked my car up, I was told that my grill was now black in color, instead of the gray colored grill I had before the collision. The personnel at Gerber Collision of Lake Orion knew that I had had prior collision work done on the same area of the car from a deer hit 3 1/2 years earlier and assumed that those people had put the wrong grill on my car. When I told them that Gerber Collision of Washington Twp. had done the original collision work, and that their replacement grill had matched the original, they were non-plussed. Regardless of this, the change of grill color didn't bother me all that much. I then left their shop and then after an hour of driving a check engine light went on. I took it to a local mechanic who cleared an errant cam shaft sensor error - something they said must have been missed during the collision repair they said. Then I found out I had a loud wind noise/hum occurring whenever I traveled at highway speeds. I took the car back to the collision shop, and they examined it, saying that it wasn't anything that they had done. I pointed out that there had never been any kind of wind noise until after they had repaired my vehicle and asked them to make sure that the new grill wasn't the problem. The people at Gerber Collision of Lake Orion stated that they had their mechanic check out the problem, and that it wasn't their issue. No one, however, bothered to verify that it might have been the grill causing the wind noise, or even if it was the correct one for my vehicle, nor could I get them to acknowledge this. I was told that I could take it to another mechanic, and that if I could prove that the problem was caused by them, then they would be willing to look at it again. I don't have the money for that and don't believe that they would.
