11/8/2021 was the first date of service invoice number ****** The company did a poor job assessing the problem before job was started. After getting the suggested parts and work on several different visits, I kept getting charged more and my house does not heat up past 56 degrees. I have made several follow up calls to no avail. No one from the company has come back to complete the job. I have made I have made payments for more than two thousand dollars and the technician still asks me to pay more money to complete the job Six visits and twenty-two hundred dollars later, it was recommended I install a new system or continue to troubleshoot to rectify on-going issueBusiness response

Upon Mr ******** request (8/2/2021) Doty Mechanical provided a quote(8/16/2021) to replace his entire boiler system and add 2 sections of fintube to complete 1 of the 4 heating zones in the home.
Upon Mr ******** request (11/8/2021) Doty mechanical sent a service technician to resolve a ‘no heat’ condition in Mr ******** home. It was a determined that the circulating pump that provides water to the 4 zones in the system quit working. ** ****** approved replacing the pump which Doty Mechanical installed on 11/17/2021 but ** ****** did not pay for the repair because he did not have his credit card available.
** ****** continued to refuse to pay for the pump replacement because 1 of the 4 zones were not heating. We reviewed the situation multiple times to explain that the particular zone had not been working (due to fin-tube having been removed and capped years earlier). The pump that we replaced did restore flow throughout the 3 zones but ** ****** refused to acknowledge this fact.
He described areas of his home that were cold (bathroom and dining room). These were areas that the fin tube had previously been removed and capped. We provided 2 quotes that ** ****** approved. We installed 2 fin-tubes (1/5/2022, 1/11/2022) on the zone that had not worked correctly in years. As of the last installation on 1/11/2022, ** ****** brought his account current other than 50% of the remaining due for the 1/11/2022 installation.
** ****** continued to express concern the system was not heating and agreed to pay Doty Mechanical to perform a maintenance on the boiler 1/19/2022
** ****** continued to refuse to bring his account current as we continued to identify failure modes not associated with any repairs that Doty Mechanical performed. His boiler system is 45 years old and has not been properly maintained.
On 2/8/2022; the CEO, VP of Operations and a senior service technician from Doty Mechanical spent 6 hours thoroughly reviewing ** ******s system, confirming that the zone valves are not wired correctly, 3 of the 4 zone valve work intermittently, the switch controlling boiler operation had to be adjusted to get hotter operation, etc.
** ****** continues to monitor the reliability of his heating system before paying Doty Mechanical for the balance of services rendered. Without the circulation pump working on the system, there is now way to know additional items may be in need of repair.
** ****** expects that prior to replacing the circulation pump, we should have known that his zone valves were not wired correctly, his valves work intermittently, or that we should be responsible to expand his system by adding additional fin-tube.
That is like expecting an automotive repair shop to know a vehicle needs an alignment, new u-joints and transmission repaired when they were only approved to replace the battery because the vehicle would not start. You have to make the first repair to be able to perform further diagnosis
