Bought a car in November 2023 from motorcarsonline of lansing. In December the car needed major repairs. called dealer and stated i declined a warranty although i did not. They told me to get the car fixed and send them the invoice and they would "make things right." Sent invoice and said they weren't responsible for all the repairs. First offered to give me a warranty or money and that they would call me next day with offer. weeks went by and i heard from nobody. Called ********************* on February 27, 2024 to discuss the issue. **** agreed to pay me $1000 dollars in exchange i signed a nondisclosure agreement. told me it would be mailed to me. i have never received the disclosure or said money. when i call the dealership now they ignore my calls and don't return messages.Business response

The gentleman purchased the vehicle as is and declined the warranty. Weeks after the customer took purchase of the vehicle, he had an *** light come on.
he takes it to a local mechanic and they have to replace the wheel bearing. Unfortunately, the axle was bound to the wheel bearing, so both components have to be replaced. We offered the customer a cash resolution, and he declined.
The customer use profanity infused, screaming and disrespect, as if we would know that the *** light will come on many miles in weeks after the sale. Very unreasonable customer with anger issues so we would prefer not to deal with this guy.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
The business owner never offered me a cash offer they sent me somebody elses offer to me. We agreed later upon $1000 AFTER **** told me he illegally recorded our conversation without my knowledge and consent. The vehicle was not serviced properly before I was sold the vehicle as it also had a bad tie rod end and exhaust components. I have proof of our verbal agreement for the $1000.

The issues arose not many weeks following the purchase either. It was two weeks after receiving the vehicle and not even 1000 miles later. My wife only drives to and from work which is only 1 mile from our house. Also I am curious why this vehicle was as is when they state in a comment on one of their negative reviews that all our vehicles come with a 3 month, ***** mile warranty as seen in the attachment i am attaching.Initial Complaint

I recently purchased a ****** truck from motors cars of Lansing. They said the truck was running fine till it shipped to my house. And the steering wheel had a shake that made it unsafe to drive. When I call to report what the truck was doing They said they replaced a bunch of parts In the front end but never disclose that to me When I was purchasing the vehicle Their website says all their vehicles are certified and go through a 150 point inspection. But when it arrives to my house, there was leaking fluids from a gear box that they said they replaced with a brand new one. But yet it was a old used one. The mirror was broken as well as a signal on the mirror the backaxel was shifted back Due to a broken block, this truck was not inspected ******* change was not done. The truck needed a alignment that they argued And said that they had did but when I took it to a private tire shop, the alignment was off Now they are trying to send me a use gear box. And want me to pay to have it installed I have a check engine light on the truck For emissions Now. had to get it trailered back home ***** cars of Lansing sold me a lemon. Don't ever buy a vehicle from them They know how to sweet talk You and the manager **** won't return your phone calls Nor speak to you about the issue His fixes send Used parts And make them pay for the expense To have it installed.Initial Complaint

I purchased an car on 2/22/22 before i purchased the car i got it checked out the Catalytic converter code was on they knowing cleared the check engine light code to sell the suv and lied and said it was an old code i got an promise note saying that they would replace the converter not an **** aftermarket that didnt not work for the Vehicle also complained about an awful smell coming from the vents they made it seem like i was crazy they put on an poorly aftermarket converter from **** never even showed me receipts or any of the nature so I don't truly know where they even got this aftermarket Catalytic converter from on and told me i would have to pay for an original Catalytic converter if I wanted it on my check engine light came on right away they had me driving around with a crack in my intake manifold breathing and smells that were awful and me and my daughter both have health issues and they knew that it was a crack that existed and they told me the only way that I can get original Catalytic converter that I would have to pay even though my Promise to fix note never stated of that me and my daughter have been receiving bad headaches due to the smell that later found out it was an Damage in manifold was damaged the light keeps coming back on and they refuse to give a better Catalytic converter they have worked on my car 6 times and still the same and they also wanted to charge me about putting my bad Catalytic converter back on the Original one which they knew it was a bad Catalytic converter in the first place to cause more harm to me and my family they knowing sold an faulty carBusiness response

******************* was having issues with the vehicle she purchased from us, we did try to resolve the problem a couple times trying to figure out the problem. ******************* did decide to take it somewhere else to get it fixed which we reimbursed her 100% for the third-party service and labor. I believe we have resolve this matter.
