I contracted ***** in good faith that he could do the job. His crew was rude, unprofessional, rushed the job and cut corners just to get their final payment. We agreed on 1/2 down and the rest when finished. He said it would take about 10 days. It still is not finished. He asked for a "progress payment" because he ran out of money. I paid him $7,763.63 on 7/19/22. We were reusing all my bricks and he was purchasing some blocks, poly sand, and gravel base. This more than covered those costs. He was supposed to remove all pavers, put down new base, and level so the water ran off. He was supposed to finish with poly sand and come back and seal it. I refused the progress payment. He rushed through the job, put poly sand down, and sealed it. I paid him like agree. It rained, washed away sand, gravel underneath. The wall was incorrect. He sent *** back to fix. He pounded the bricks deeper, attempted to fix the wall. I told him it was not correct. He swore and threw things. They left. I contacted ***** and told him *** was not welcome here. He said **** would be back. He no longer answers texts or phone messages. I asked him to refund money and just be done with it. He refuses to refund money. He is not a professional like he claims. He should not be allowed to take people's money and not provide the service specified in the contract. The whole back deck does not drain properly, it holds water. The wall is supposed to be rounded, but the bricks do not line up. The wrap around step was supposed to be redone. He was supposed to powerwash the bricks, put in more poly sand, and seal it. Winter is coming, he has my money, yet I have an unfinished project.
