This company terminated a 93yr old veterans caregiver services with no notice and broke their contract without 72 hrs as their policy stated on pg 2 of their client service agreement . The company in their own printed material (pg 7 of personal care services admission booklet), encouraged clients to speak with the owner about any concerns. When I gave my opinion about their management and concerns on a Wednesday , I was informed the following day that the caregiver would not be returning on Friday. I was also told my fathers VA approved care hours authorization was returned to the **. This was a cruel and cold reaction which put my father and our family in great distress as we were left with no care for my father. This treatment was not what a family deserves when all they want is care for their loved one.

Until the last day of service, we received nothing but the highest compliments from you regarding the services your father received. As you know, your father was receiving both skilled nursing services and non-medical home health aide services with us paid for by both the ********** of ******** Affairs (**) and under private pay. Unfortunately, some things are out of our control when it comes to working with outside agencies, like the VA. At the time of our conversation on Wednesday May 29, 2024, you requested additional afternoon shifts Monday through Friday starting the following week with very specific hours. You stated that if we were unable to fulfill those additional hours you would like to change your VA hours to another agency. After speaking with the VA about the issues at hand, a request for the change of agency was made. Requests for changes in agency with the VA often occur immediately and the timeline of change is out of our control. Addressing the statement that you were left with no care for your father is not entirely accurate. Our agency is still servicing your father under skilled nursing services, and you have an alternate agency in the home also providing care.
