      I am the original owner of a 2016 Hyundai Tucson 1.6L GDI Turbo 4 Cylinder engine with 99k miles. ***** purchasing my ****** in 2016, I have been faithful and up to date with all oil changes and maintenance. Over the past year, my engine has been burning through an entire oil tank in less than 2K miles. I am spending >$90 every 3-4 weeks for oil changes (I have all my receipts and detailed log). I have had countless service appointments at LaFontaine Livonia in which my oil pan is sealed, and then resealed, and then resealed again, inspected, flushed, etc. and I am currently on my 2nd oil consumption test. It is frustrating that at LaFontaine I have to pull out my receipts every time as no one knows what is going on.This should all absolutely be covered under the 100k miles warranty that is touted so highly; however, Hyundai customer service has been the worst experience I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and I have spent at least $5k out of pocket thus far and nothing is fixed. LaFontaine is telling me that I need to leave my ****** at the dealership for more tests and then if qualified for a new engine, the whole process will likely take a year (of which my car will need to remain at the dealership). Their dealership has no loaner vehicles to use nor does auto insurance cover the cost of a yearlong rental. LaFontaine employees that I ask for guidance continue to shrug and say to just buy a new car.I truly am at a loss for words on how Hyundai and LaFontaine specifically feels that the above is an appropriate solution for a well-known problem that exists with their 1.6L GDI Turbo 4 Cylinder engines. I have worked in customer service and at a ********************** dealership in the past, and I would never give hard working, paying customers the runaround that I am repeatedly receiving at LaFontaine. I hope and expect that LaFontaine Livonia Hyundai will do the right thing and remedy this problem with an expedited new engine and rental car for the time being.

      This place refused to give me a rental after holding my car to replace the engine after months. They claim it was 60 other people on the wait list for a rental then it went from 60 to 70. It was a 4/5 month wait to replace the engine, now its a year. Theyve had my car from 4/2023 until now. They will not respond to my calls or texts. In the beginning they would only update me by text but when I asked for someone to call me they refused. The young woman in the service department, ******, had been rude about calling me back. When I popped up there to get something out of my car, she literally handed me the keys and told me to walk around the yard to find it! LaFontaine Hyundai service department in Llvonia, MI has the most disgusting customer service Ive ever seen and I wish I purchased my car else where!

      On February 14, I woke up in need of a new vehicle for my delivery jobs. I purchased a 2022 Hyundai ****** with a rip in the driver leather seat. After I said something about it, they insisted ordering me a new seat to sit on. I agreed, I thought it would be same seat. On April 20th, they did the seat switch with a seat that wasn't ripped. After driving on the new seat for a few days, it was very uncomfortable and has a really hard surface so I went back on April 25th and asked them to switch back the seat. They immediately said that they had already sent the seat back to the manufacturer for warranty and I would never see the seat again no matter if they called them to send it back or what. I went in a few times after that asking them if they could get the seat back and they kept saying no.I noticed that the seat they replace has a smaller base and has less cushion to sit on. It's so uncomfortable that it hurts your hips when you sit in the car. I had no choice to use the seat for a few months until it started making my body hurt and does not correlate with the force of gravity that the *** gives, and has an 8 speed transmission that makes it even worse to drive over bumps at faster speeds or even use the armrest without hurting your body, shoulders, hips, knees, everything over time. As if they took a manufactured seat that was designed for the car with memory gel and space foam and switched it with a hard car seat. Ruining the ride of the car and making my body hurt every time I sit in the car. I made a case # with corporate and they were still unable to help with the return of the seat. I drove the seat until I didn't want to drive the car anymore, I resigned my delivery jobs and got a full time hourly job. During that time I fell behind on payments and decided to have the car reposed.I just want to say it was the worse service experience I've ever had and now it has ruined my credit, my jobs, and absolutely despicable of Hyundai to do.
