Should be a 0 Star. They used 3 scam tactics with us listed on the FTC government site. Scammers pressure you for an immediate decision. Scammers ask you to pay for everything up front. Scammers suggest you borrow money from a lender they know. Over and over we said we wanted to think about it, we didn’t feel comfortable making that quick of a decision on a $42,000 project for a roof and gutters. He kept pushing back, telling us he could get us a loan for 0% and then we’d have 3 days to decide, and save all of that interest on our money. And he said assured us we could just call him if we wanted to cancel. He rushed to get it signed, not giving us time to read anything we signed. He even folded the agreement, hiding the cancellation procedure, when signing. Right after they left we knew we made a mistake. Read the contract agreement to find that we had 3 days by 5 p.m. to cancel to be received by them at their Ludington office (even though they had an office here in Traverse City). It had to be mailed or in person. Certified mail takes longer, so we overnighted it. We never received any paperwork on the loan. We called to find out what we signed said the work was completed and all the money was transferred to Superior Exteriors. They used delaying strategies getting back to us, but we went ahead with mailing and tracking. The refused to sign when they received the mail, so I called to get them to email a confirmation. After a half hour and another call we got it, after I said “Are we going to have to drive down?” (4 hour drive). They returned the money, but we are still awaiting a call from the bank to cancel the loan account.
