Dietz Fence, provided with an estimate to install fencing in my yard. The quote was $2,000.00, the owner ***** requested a deposit of 50% - $1,000.00. I wrote her a check which was cashed and I have not heard back from ***** since July of 2022. I have made several phone calls and she has not responded, apparently I am not the only person that has been impacted by their horrible business practices.Initial Complaint

Paid $2,520 for a fence and install that I never received. *****, the owner and her son, committed multiple times to the delivery and install of the product, but on every single occasion, did not show up or even bother to call and cancel. We had a pool installed in July and were PROMISED to have a fence within 6 to 8 weeks, as they obtained a new supplier, therefore selling us products and services under false pretenses. False advertising and basically theft at this point. We most likely will be filling with legal and police. This company needs to be stopped! This is fraud and something needs to be done to get our money back!Initial Complaint

I provided Dietz Fence company with a 50% down payment based on a mutually agreed upon contract to install an Aluminum fence for my backyard in June 2022 with a 4 - 6 week lead time for installation. Since then, ***** Dietz (owner) and her husband have made excuse after excuse for having to reschedule the installation dates, with no-calls and no-shows. I have been very patient with ***** and her company as all I want is for Dietz fence to fulfill their contract. I see there are a lot of suits going on with homeowners trying to get their money back and at the very least I would like to also receive my 50% deposit back. The week of Oct 17th was the last communicated timeframe in which they would install the fence but since the middle of last week (after many calls and texts), they have not returned communication of any form with me. I feel I now need to take legal action on the companyInitial Complaint

***** Company is totally scam. ***** original price was $8,297 I called her and I told her another company gave me $7,500 and she said that will do it. we the did the original proposal on August 10th and then I checked with city of ***************** that I cannot make a fence in my area per the builders covenant that's automatically renewed every 10 years and I asked her to refund the money and she gave too many excuses and she's not answering the phone calls just like the other reviews she doesn't know even the color of my fence she said it's has khaki color.I showed her all the documents from my property which she should consider not to do a fence she said I will sign for it to take the responsibility, all that to avoid refund the deposit which is a $3,750 also she said she filed a permit four times during 2 months and every time I call the city there wasn't any actual permit last time I called the city of Shelby ******** to last October 14th 2022 which they come from there is no permit filed at all associated to my address, I told her I'm going to take you to court. We signed a contract with Dietz on March 28, 2022. Since then the below communications have occurred/we have made attempts to get in touch with them. -May 3, 2022 we resent a photo of our signed contract as Dietz requested -June 6, 2022-text owner's personal number asking for an installation timeframe with a response that she was driving and would call back but did not -June 22, 2022-************* and personal cell with no response -July 25, 2022-***** called us saying our materials were in and asked if we needed matte or semi gloss and that installation would occur the following week.August 22, 2022-************* line and was told ***** was on a job and she would call back August 24, 2022-Left voicemail August 31, 2022-Left voicemail September 7, 2022- We called and were told that everything was good to go, they were getting to the customers ahead of us. They were reviewing their books and calling us at the end of the week for a timeline September 12, 2022-we never received a call the week prior as promised and we called and left a message. We were told we would get a call back later in the day September 13, 2022-Dietz called and told us materials would be in on the 21st, even though we were told in July it was already in and they would call the following week to install September 28 and 29, 2022-phone line went right to voicemail. Left messages that we have not heard from them October 3, 2022-called and voicemail box is full At this point, we are seeking a refund of our 50% deposit, since we are not able to reach this company and they have not installed our fence.Initial Complaint

We hired Dietz Fence to replace our existing fence in May/June of this year. We provided a down payment so they could purchase the materials and at this time we were told that the materials have been taking about a month to arrive and they wouldn't install it until July/August time frame. We told Dietz that wasnt a problem and to just schedule us for August since we wouldn't be home much in July. ****** came around and my wife reached out to the owner and she stated that they would complete it in August and she would reach out to schedule a day. They called miss-dig and had the utility lines marked but never called or showed up. We called a couple of times but never received a call back or any additional info. September came around and I called the owners cell and the office and left VM but did not hear back. I called again and left a VM stating we either wanted our money back or the fence installed soon or we would start looking at taking legal action. I received a call back at this point and again she said she would call back on Monday 9/12 to schedule a date. They never called to schedule a date and again sent out miss-dig to mark utilities since the first one expired. We are sick of being lied to and their strategy of who yells loudest gets to have their fence installed. Based on all of the other reviews on ****** and ******** its how they handle their business, instead of just doing what they say they will do.We either want this fence installed in the next two weeks or our money back. If this does not happen our next step is to go to small claims to recoup our down payment. From other reviews it doesn't sound like this would be the first time this has happened and the court system is becoming familiar with this company and their tactics.Initial Complaint

Its been over a year since we made a deposit and she said it would take **** weeks. My wife and i call and text her with a excuse everytime of ill call you back, she switch manufacturers and said our orders are being done by another company and it was in the final production stage. She said she would call them to find out more about it. And she told me to call her in the morning? I (the customer) should never have to call her. She then 2 weeks later gave me a delivery and install date. Nothing came, along with no call. Now she said it the manufacturers fault they didn't produce. I called her 3-4 times after along with texting..never called me..so im my mind I'm thinking she isn't being honest with me because she is making stuff up and always avoiding us. If she just called us 1 time a month i wouldn't be upset but its just one excuse after another. Said her husband has a ***** that owns a larger fence company that has material but still never seems to make this right. So I'm trying to seek help to see what really is going on because i have a pool needing to be installed and my back yard still to be done but this is holding me back.The biggest thing is she gave me a install date and then seems to keep making excuses up along with never contacting me back to resolve the issue. We put our order in for privacy fence on April 4th, 2022. My neighbor and I did it together and we were to have our fence installed at the same time. Dietz installed my Dads fence a year ago and the price was very appealing, so we went with them as well. I will spare time on how difficult it is to contact anybody at Dietz and the many excuses why they cannot get to the phone. So after much back and forth post original install date- we were told they were changing manufacturers and to expect more delays. Then when we leaked into a few weeks after- I was told our material was going to be on the next truck and that we are top of the list and that worst case it would be the week after "guaranteed". Two weeks goes by and I am told that Dietz has the material and will be calling me the coming Saturday to schedule install. Call never came. I text ***** on this Saturday to ask if this was still the case that we are on track to schedule install. She said yes but that she was scheduling the following week out with inspectors and she would get back to me. Another week goes by. Now we are told they are working on getting material but that she can see "Ms. *** was out and that ****" should have install dates for me. She promised me an install date the next day and this never came. Another week goes by and now ***** is telling us that material is being delivered directly to customer homes by manufacturer as they are struggling to truck orders themselves. She tells me shes on hold with the manufacturer (ironically as I call her) and that the manufacturer is saying Aug 30-Sept 1 install date. I explain we need a definitive date- this conversation ends up going nowhere as her manufacturer leaves for the day and we get no due date but she promises me tomorrow, again. next day ***** tells me that the manufacturer is saying Sept 3rd for install but she cannot get her on the phone to guarantee it. My fianc and I ordered a black aluminum fence in October 2021 in anticipation of getting a puppy in December 2021. We paid half($2464.50) of the total at that time. We were told estimated install time was 6-8 weeks, weather permitting. Spring 2022 came and we started to inquire about our order. ********************************* informed us that they were having some supply chain issues with their manufacturer of 17 years not fufilling orders. By ****, she finally decided to switch manufacturers and told us our order would be completed soon. Checked back in with the company end of July, was told the production date of our fence would be July 28 and hopefully would be able to install the next day. Fast forward to August 22(no word from Dietz fence), I called back and ***** Dietz told me our fence would be able to be installed August 23 or 24. By the end of the business day August 24, no word from Dietz fence, so I called, no answer and left a voicemail(their voicemail says they will get back within 24 hrs). As I write this today, August 29, no word from Dietz fence. I write this because their complete unprofessionalism in regards to not keeping their word, essentially lying, and poor communication. We have been waiting 10 months now. Other customers are leaving ****** reviews saying it took 3-4 months to get their fence. I understand supply chain is an issue, but at least continue to frequently communicate with your clients to let them know you care and havent forgotten about them. They dont return our calls, they ignore our calls. Unfortunately, I dont believe anything ***** Dietz tells me anymore and I am starting to worry if we will ever get our fence. Dietz Fence created a contract to install fencing on our property last year by August 2021, and has continually changed/adjusted/pushed back the install date multiple times.We have asked for the fence to be installed no later than the week of August 8th, 2022, and after over a year of playing back and forth with the install, I have not been able to reach/speak with the owner, nor get an install date. We are hoping to have the fence installed, with the agreed upon brush clearing for the install, or to have a full refund (with interest).Customer response

Hello -
The business did issue an incorrect refund check 2 weeks after the promised date. We had to get an additional check for the appropriate amount. The business also was extremely unprofessional regarding communication of the process when we were trying to gain the refund for the work that was promised over a year ago.
