Date of transaction: 12/30/21 Amount of money paid: $7.69 Product purchased: Rely Dried Shrimp Nature of dispute: Item purchased has an expiration date of June 19, 2023, it was discovered in February that the content has become moldy even though the package remains unopened. Attempt to return the product for exchange was denied by the store personnel, citing their return policy of 7 days. I believe the expiration date is misleading and that they should honor the request for exchange since the business is committed to provide unspoiled food adhering to health and safety regulations.Business response

If the customer is not satisfied with their item they can always return to our store with the product and the receipt and we will take it back.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I resorted to contacting my credit card company for this dispute after the request in person at the store for an exchange or refund was denied. The store probably relented after BBB got involved, in any case, MasterCard sided with me and reversed the charge. All is good now, thank you for your help.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
