  We gave Truckey Concrete a down payment on cement work at our home. We gave the payment directly to Rich Truckey for 1/2 of the total $4,825.00 price he quoted , so $******* check was paid & he cashed it. Over the course of the next three months, he made many promises to come early the next morning, Over and over He did not show up with no notice about why he was unable to come. The three days he did come, he made a feeble attempt to put down some wood and was only at it about 1 - 2 hours each time. I was shocked to see his shabby attempt at setting up wood for the pour of cement. He was using many 1 inch by 3 inch pieces of wood. The wood was loose with short 1 x 2 steaks of wood used to hold it in place. I sent pictures to my son who is a contractor in Alabama . My son said those pieces of wood would never hold the cement. He said if the cement was poured, the wood would all breakthrough and the cement would be pushing past them. My husband sent many texts , sometimes **** responded with excuses. My husband made many calls to Rich Truckey which were never returned. Between the shabbiness of the work , his many promises to come to the house, his no-shows and the pitiful, inept attempt to begin the work. We told him we were going to get someone else to do it and for him to please give us back our money . He rarely responded to these request over and over.. Finally my husband got a hold of him by phone. **** said I dont care what you do, you can *** me, youre not getting any money back.Finally, WE had someone else come and put in the stairs and we are very happy with them. We would like to have our money returned from Rich ****** we gave him $ *******. The total job on the contract included a 10 x 10 ft pad on the other side of the house which he never even attempted or talked about again and a pad of cement underneath the air conditioner. So we actually paid him at least the total amount for the stairs if not more.
