On April 6, 2021 I went to Dental Works to have a cleaning and a for them to look at the condition of my crown / root canal. They took my insurance information yet did x rays that was out of my insurance limits, and are charging me for the x rays. I spoke with my insurance and they said the x rays they did were not suppose to be done but for every 5yrs, and I just had the xrays done in 2018 at another location. They knew that I was seen at another Dental Works location because the dentist asked me if I went to the one in Dearborn. I told him why I didn't go back to that location and why I chose their location in Northville. Yet, they're charging me for unnecessary x rays that they could've used from the other location. I have been trying to reach someone in the office since June of 2021 and no one yet has returned my phone calls to help rectify the problem. And they will not release my x rays to the new dentist office that I recently found after leaving several recordings at their office that I am in an emergency state and need dental work immediately. I reached out to my insurance and they suggested I try one more attempt with them because they're the only ones that can clear the charge for the service, then proceed with taking whatever legal actions I see necessary. The code for service in question is D0210, complete set radiographic images for $101.00.
