My husband and I dropped our Goldendoodle Pyro off to them on February 8, 2022. This was Pyro‘s second encounter with them as the first one was November 2021 where he got a great review on how beautiful his coat was. Pyro normally goes to Parchman poodle where they gave him a cute teddy bear cut. When we initially tried paws and claws we were so happy they got him in that we decided to try them for a second time. My husband dropped Pyro off at 10 AM and went to pick him up at about 1 PM. As my husband dropped him off he informed Nikki that we love a nice teddy bear cut and if you have to go low it’s fine but please do not take him all the way off. We are in the middle of February which means it is freezing cold in Michigan. Again I’ll add, our first encounter with paws and claws Pyro got complimented on how nice his fur was. The lady said he was an easy dog to cute. Which as you can see is why we brought him back that day. We felt very comfortable leaving our baby there. Upon picking Pyro up, my husband paid the $75 and tipped. When they brought Pyro out my husband was Shock to see that they had took all of Pyro’s fur off. He was shaved so low he was unrecognizable. My husband instantly ask for the owners number so that he could file a complaint. The owner Julia explain to my husband that he was lucky it was a $75 cut because she would’ve charged him $90. She then proceeded to mention that we were not receiving any money back because the job was done. My husband then informed her that indeed the job was done however it was not done right. I then proceeded to go to paws and claws to explain to the staff what happened. I walked in to nothing but rude staff members being very disrespectful, calling the police on me and telling me I was trespassing because I wanted a refund on how my dog looked. We did not receive an apology, a credit for next time and they kept the tip! Overall terrible experience would not recommend this business at all to anyone.
