Dan Wood Company had a technician at my home little more than an hour after my call. Nick B postponed his lunch to assess the problem and begin the process of replacement of a failed water heater. He is professional, friendly and thorough. He kept me informed of his progress, explained my options and ensured that I understood the operation of the new appliance. I was very happy with the service that Dan Wood HVAC technician, Rob K, provided today. He installed a new Nest thermostat and removed the old thermostat. He also reconfigured the furnace wiring for proper operation. He also serviced our air conditioner, and installed a new air filter. He took time to explain how to use the new thermostat; he was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. I am extremely happy with the service Dan Wood company provided me with today.Review from Deb A

Three years ago, I purchased a furnace and central air unit from Dan Wood Company. Every year since, my ignitor has been going out. They replaced it under warranty the first year, but the next two years I had my HVAC certified friend come look at it and it was the ignitor. When it went out this year and my HVAC certified friend cane, I contacted Dan Wood Company to talk to a manager to see if they could look into why this keeps occurring. The numerous messages I left were never returned, so I went down to the Portage location and talked to the Operations Manager, Pat. He claims I purchased a low grade furnace, mention that because I live in a modular home that there aren't good furnaces for them. I was a bit puzzled as to why living in a modular home would make a difference, as the salesman did not indicate. I actually purchased the furnace recommended by the sales person. Pat said he would call Miller, the manufacturer of the furnace and get back with me in a week. It's now been two weeks and I called with no return call again. The customer service is extremely lacking and very disappointing to say the least.Review from Mindy E
