I hired **** because I had a roof leak in my pantry and was looking for a roof replacement. **** was someone I had known years ago and thought I could trust. He let me know the chimney leak was likely related and would be remedied with the new roof. A week after the roof was replaced there was a hard rain and not only did the chimney still leak into the pantry but now the garage had a leak and apparently my skylight seal had failed. **** came out and gave me the price of $1350 he would take care of the issues including replacing the skylight. He said it was urgent to get this replaced quickly before there was any further damage and I agreed. The check was cashed quickly but immediately he said he was having personal issues but would take care of it soon. Several times he was scheduled to come out and I would take the day of work only to have a no call/no show. I went the entire winter with a tarp on my roof. Several times I reminded him my chimney and garage were still leaking and had ruined my wood floors. Several times he would text promising to come out but never did. Finally by July I told him obviously he was too busy to take care of this, please refund me my $1350. He would text me now and again just to chat and I had to remind him that I was still having severe water damage from my roof. Several times he told me the check was in the mail, that **** was going to come by and repair the chimney issue, that he was going to hire someone to fix the issues if **** didn't show up, that he would reimburse me if I hired someone to fix the issues from his work. None of these promises were ever kept. Obviously I can't rely on them to finish the job, the roof warranty will never be honored and the repairs from water damage are also on me. The very least I'm asking for is the refund for the skylight.
