      since 2015 they have put a lien on my home, 6 times, i was never informed that this has taken place. i never rec. a letter phone call, no attempt to my knowage has been made to infom me of this. this whole thing has me so stressed out with health issues it is unreal, know im unable to put my house on the market. im seeking releif here, they did not follow the state of Mi. and hillsdale co. guidelines as to file and report the liens thank you ** ******

      All property owners in the Oakhaven Property Owners Association are provided with a copy of the bylaws. Article 3, Section 4 of the bylaws states, "Dues are due June 1st of each calendar year. Notice of dues will be sent out at least 30 days prior to the due date. Non-payment of annual dues shall cause a lien to be placed upon the property and shall include all fees associated with said filing/notification." In addition, in December of each calendar year, a letter is sent to all property owners that have not paid their dues that liens will be filed in February of the next calendar if dues are not paid by then. The owner is then responsible for paying the dues along with $60 for both filing and releasing the lien ($30 each). In the event the property is sold, dues and lien fees that are owed to the association during the closing process. In no way is the owner prevented from selling their property. This process does, however, ensure that the property dues are eventually collected. In the case of this particular property owner, we have been lenient in accepting partial payments and applying those funds to current year dues to prevent further liens from being filed and incurring additional costs for filing and releasing. The property has been provided with the by laws and has been mailed the annual notices about lien filings if dues are not paid by February.

      I am rejecting this response because: i was never informed of these liens over the years   That is a violation of the law you have to inform someone that you are putting the leans on not that you are going to do it homeowners need to be informed that the leans are in place
