A service man came out from McKernan,INc to adjust the tension on garage door He never quoited me a price.He was here less than 5 secs. He charged me $135.00.Service was never rendered. I went to the company to talk about this and I got no where. The people was very rude.Business response

**************** came to our office seeking help to adjust her door on 7/13/22 stating it wouldn't fully open and she was concerned she may it hit with her vehicle. She stated it was recently installed by another company which she had out for the same problem and she didn't want them back out. My Service manager **** informed her of the service charge of ****** to adjust the tension on the springs and do a once over of the door. She informed him there was not a operator on it and he informed her that if she had low headroom track that the door would never fully open without a operator. (as it turned she did) She gave us her address asked that we come to the house to preform the service. We did just that which took longer than the time stated.( 5 seconds) She came back into our office stated she felt the Service tech might have just cash the check himself which he couldn't or wouldn't (it was made out to us) and felt the time spent didn't warrant the cost. She went on to say that she was going to go to City hall to complain and felt we stole from her. Prior to storming out of our office. I offered to rip up her check she denied that and said she would never refer us to anyone.
We have been in business going on 47 years and have had a great relationship with our customer base and great reviews.
Not sure if she was just having a bad day.
There were 2 other people in the office and none of us were ever rude to her.

****** Hennig The ****** of the check was What are we suppose to do tear up the check and work for free. I went to ************************* and talk to workers they told me to take them to small claim court. What about the $135,00 So they work over 40 years doesnt mean their honest
