            Elandt Tax Services came highly recommended by someone we are very close to and it's unfortunate they were a disappointment. This was our first year going to Elandt Tax Services. We dropped off our paperwork in February and assumed he was working on it. Our fault for assuming and not reaching out to him sooner. Come April 11, 2 months after we dropped off, we find out he hasn't started on our taxes because he was "confused." WE HAD TO CALL HIM to get the status. HE NOT ONCE CALLED ** and asked us to clear up any confusions. Why would you hold on to our paperwork for 2 months and do absolutely nothing? That is the part I can't get over. Yes, our situation was not easy but if you're a professional, you should know how to handle it. This is why we went to a professional versus trying to do it ourselves.Now we have to take it elsewhere and file an extension.

            Yes, it is true that they dropped their information off in February, during the initial meeting it was determined that copies of their previous tax returns would be needed. They said they never received them from the previous preparer and would have to get them. They brought them in a week or two later. Unfortunately, other clients had also dropped their tax information off, and returns are done on a first come first serve basis. Appointments are also taken before drop off returns are done. As we are a small business, it may take longer to get returns done to the clients satisfaction.
