On June 16 2022 I paid Veterans Concrete $2200 for a patio that was supposed to be installed in October 2022. The person I was working with is no longer employed there and his email no longer exists. *** tried calling the company but nobody answers or returns my calls.Initial Complaint

Back in early June this year, we signed a contract with Veterans Concrete to do a large concrete project at our home. The project was to tear out all of our existing concrete in our driveway, walkways to the front and back, and porch. Also, they were going to add a stamped concrete patio in our backyard. When we signed the contract we also had to pay 1/3 of the cost of the project to secure the job. They told us itd be completed in 4-6 weeks. In July we started to attempt to reach out regularly to the company and experienced quite a bit of delay in response time. We finally heard from the owner, *****************, and he told us he was slammed with work and they will get to us by the end of august. He sent a crew to our house the week of Labor Day and they demod our property. All of the concrete is out. No driveway. No walkways. No porch. We have sand for all three entrances to our home. We were told theyd be back next week to finish the job. I was told that each week since they tore out our concrete and now we cannot get ahold of him. It has been three straight weeks of him not corresponding with us at all. We are panicked and in desperate need of our driveway to be done before the winter season. *** (form Veterans Concrete) will not return my calls or messages. He also never pulled a permit for the work. We are so stressed out about this entire situation and have been so patient waiting for him to finish our project only to now realize that he was never going to come back and all of this time was wasted. We are scared about the winter months coming and our property still destroyed.Initial Complaint

I PAID THE COMPANY A DEPOSIT OF $5000 IN APRIL TO DO A JOB BY THE SECOND WEEK OF JUNE THAT I AND THE REP AGREED UPON. I RECEIVED NO UPDATES, FOLLOW UP OR CALLS ABOUT THE JOB. I CALLED 6/21 TO GET AN UPDATE AND IT TOOK 2 DAYS FOR THEM TO GIVE ME AN UPDATE SAYING MY JOB IS SCHEDULED FOR 8/18. AT THAT POINT I TOLD THEM NO, THAT IS NOT WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE SUMMER IS BASICALLY OVER AT THAT POINT AND I WOULD NOT NEED A PATIO POURED SO LATE IN THE SEASON. I HAVE BEEN CALLING AND CALLING AND THEY DO NOT RETURN MY CALLS I HAVE TO HOPE SOMEONE PICKS UP THE PHONE TO TALK ABOUT MY ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE OWNER TO CALL FOR OVER A WEEK NOW AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CALL FROM HIM ABOUT MY $5K REFUND, SINCE THEY TOLD ME HE IS THE ONE WHO HAS TO MAKE THAT DECISION. THEY STATED THAT "I SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN A DATE FOR MY JOB TO BE DONE AND YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY CALL THAT WE ARE GETTING LIKE THIS". SO APPARENTLY THEY ARE TELLING PEOPLE WRONG INFORMATION JUST TO GET BUSINESS AND PEOPLE'S MONEY.
