This company terminated my policy after I had to file a claim after 14 years of paying premiums. I have previously filed a bbb complaint against them. Their reply back was basically because I lived in ****** my policy was terminated. ( Even though I had been in ****** for 3 years prior and they had no problem with it). When I replied back that ***** is now where I live they replied back that I should contact them. I have tried and have gotten no reply. I think my policy should be reinstated as if it had never been terminated to have the benefits of a long time customer.

      Dear BBB -

******************** wrote me an email on March 22, 2023, advising he was now a resident of *****. I responded by email on March 24, 2023, advising we would reinstate him.

All ******************** has to do is contact our billing department. He indicates he tried to contact our staff. We pride ourselves on friendly service. We're open M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. EST. All he has to do is call ************ and ask to speak to *** or *** in billing, and we'll take care of him.

      Hope this resovles the concern.

      Best,

      *********************

      President, LECMPA

I have been a member for 15 years. Until a little over a year ago all I did was pay my monthly premium on time every month. In 2021 I was charged with dishonesty my the Railroad I worked for. LECMPA reviewed my claim and paid my benefit. Shortly after the benefit ended I get a letter saying they are canceling my policy. After a few phone calls I get a text saying I am now a high risk and to check back in 2 years. Again I was a paying member for 15 years. I didnt ask to be falsely charged with dishonesty and since LECMPA paid the benefit in the first place I am guessing they agreed I was not dishonest. It is a shame they would cancel me for no reason.

LECMPA is a member-owned cooperative insurance Association. It was our pleasure to have ********************, who was employed as a Signal ******* at Union Pacific Railroad, as a member for many years and to honor a dismissal claim totalling $54,750.00.

The Association evaluates all potential and existing members for unusual risks. In ************************ case, he maintains his residence in ****** where his railroad employer does no business. LECMPA generally does not insure individuals who reside in ****** or ******.

We will be happy to re-consider ******************** for membership should his residence change to one of the 48 contiguous ** states, or in the event he were to obtain employment with an ******-based union transportation company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

[IYou must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please type details here:] I no longer live in ******.  I have been back in ***** for several months and was never asked where I resided now.  My policy was terminated with very little notice.  My policy should be reinstated and all benefits should be put back in place.
