I recently took my cat to be groomed at this location. When dropping my cat off the employee mentioned my cat had dandruff so they would make sure to use a special shampoo to clean him.Upon picking my cat up, a gentleman cashed us out that was not previously there when I dropped him off. It was concerning that this individual seemed to be under the influence of some type of substance. In speaking with the gentleman he seemed confused, was slow to get his words out and stumbled over his sentences.Shortly afterward, the lady that was there when I dropped my cat off brought him from the back in his carrier. She mentioned she bathed the cat with a hypoallergenic shampoo for his dandruff. As we began to drive away we noticed our normally noisy cat very quiet. He was not sleepy and fully attentive, but just silent and his behavior seemed off. Upon returning home, we noticed that there was a large amount of loose fur all over his body like he had been shedding a lot. Looking at it deeper, there was dandruff all over his fur as if he hadn't been bathed at all. I tried smelling his fur to see if it smelled like shampoo or even something resembling him being washed and he smelled like marijuana. I didn't want to jump to conclusions so I asked my husband to see if the cat smelled clean and he mentioned, "he really smells like marijuana."I'm not sure if my cat was washed/groomed or not, but returning him to me smelling like marijuana is unacceptable. My husband and I don't participate in recreational substances and there would be no reason he smelled like this unless he was around someone using it at the facility. It all made sense thinking back to how the gentleman was acting oddly when we went to pick our cat up.I did not make a formal complaint with the business because I didn't have the confidence it would be taken seriously being that it seemed the staff was under the influence when we were there. I am requesting a refund of my $40.
