05/31/2023 Henkel auto performed an update on our uconnect radio as a courtesy for our vehicle having to be returned multiple times for same recall issue.They were negligent because they failed to inform ** that the update could ruin our radio which it did. We would have said no to the update if they told ** that this could happen.Which they DIDNOT.they offered us a used radio and still wanted to charge ** ****** which they said was 1/2 i should not have to pay for their negligenceBusiness response

For being inconvenienced, ******************** asked if we could perform a free software update to his radio. The vehicle was out of warranty, so Henkel CJ performed the update at no charge per the customers request. ********* would not accept the software due to an internal problem with the radio. The customer has not been charged for any services.
Henkel Chrysler Jeep offered to assist the customer in replacing the radio, to show a good faith effort, offering to pay half of the radio costs.
The customer has a radio issue, and is responsible for a radio replacement.

I am rejecting this offer because they (Henkel) were negligent for not telling us that the update on our uconnect radio could ruin it which it did.For this I hold them 100 percent responsible its common sense just tell YOUR customers that updates may ruin their radio as vehicle was not under warranty and they expect ** to pay 1/2 for used radio which is not acceptable they DID NOT TELL ** THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN!!! Otherwise we would have said no to the update again lack of common sense on their part
