We contracted with Hard Rock Stone Works to take out our old kitchen counter tops and install new quartz counter tops. The job was done but not well, there are large gaps between the wall and the quartz in several places. When we contacted Hard Rock Stone Works about the problem, we were told that it was the wall that the counter was laid against was the issue and that we would have to get someone to fix it ourselves.We came up with a compromise to cut off the area that they were unable to secure against the wall, however Hard Rock Stone Works refused to work with us.At this time, we no longer trust Hard Rock Stone Works to do what they were contacted to do. We would like for Hard Rock Stone Works to reduce their price so we can hire another company to fix the problem.Business response

He has a brick wall that is uneven. The backsplash has gaps due to the uneveness of the bricks. His solution is to mill the backsplash which would do nothing to eliminate the gaps. He had his company funded legal advisory team send us a letter threatening litigation. We responded with the facts. We provided the product he agreed to and signed for and now wants us to pay for additional work to meet his expectations. Work that is not within our scope.
I can provide you copies of the legal correspondence if you can send me another means of delivery. I attached the files to a previous version and it said they were too large.
Also, this is a company provided finance job through Greensky. We have only received 20% of what is due. We asked customer directly if we could process the entire amount minus the $1000 compensation request since he agrees that is what he owes. This happened on July 7th. He responded that he would need to meet with his legal team. We are waiting for a response.
