I paid a granite company to install granite in my kitchen but also to replace the tile on my fireplace with granite which they did. However, a piece of artwork of mine of $247.99 broke during the process and the business is telling me that my aunt whom was house sitting for me to move the stuff off of the fireplace mantle which when I asked my aunt if thats true she said no and that the workers only asked her to move the floor lamp light nearby and a basket of blankets which she did. This company did help me out by giving me discounts and not charging me for cutouts, however, I have a problem that the company did not notify me when it broke and I found out myself that night when I was cleaning and when I called them the next day to inquire about the broken artwork they said they told my aunt of which my aunt says they did not tell her to move the stuff off of the fireplace mantle and they say she just sat there and ignored their request so they continued on working with things on the fireplace mantle. I paid them in full and they said they would call me back but havent yet nor are they responding to my text or ***** request of $247.99 for the replacement of the damaged artwork. Ive shown this company via text to ***** whom is the owner and *** personally dealt with through my entire experience with this company and am getting no response and would like my money to replace this damaged artwork. Ive shown them the cost of the item to have it replaced as well as damaged photos of the artwork too that day and they didnt grout the fireplace bottom slab like weve discussed and havent come back out for that either because they thought I wanted the wood old trim which I told them no and to grout it and they didnt.
