*** Lucas is a Professional...Con Artist:Lucas Nursery designed / planted the back and side yard of our new home. Having purchased a corner lot, we wanted privacy that would eventually mature. We had gotten quotes from 3 other companies but *** had proudly boasted that his 43 years of experience would not let us down.We spent $10,000 with ***.Within the first year of installation, 5 of the 9 Arbs planted are leaning or falling out of the ground. All 9 are in shock and dying. 2 hydrangeas and 3 burning **** are dead. Furthermore, when he built the 2.5 foot berm, he never considered that he was disrupting the drainage flow that was built into the yard causing a 3x3 "pond" that has killed our grass and 1 and created a breeding ground for mosquitos.Over the course of this past spring and summer (April, May, June) we attempted to call *** to at least come and see what was happening. *** never came and he rarely returned messages or phone calls. At one stage, he recommended that we call the office and speak with "*****". We did just that and ***** mentioned that "Lucas nursery was not responsible for damage caused by snow". Firstly, the damage was NOT caused by snow and second, if that were really the case *** should have mentioned this when he installed in October. I had offered to pay for labor to get this situation rectified, however ***** never responded. In July, I called two professional companies (real professions) to ***** and quote me on how to fix ***'s debauchery. We will now have to pay an additional $4,000- $4,400 to fix his mess. *** Lucas is a fraud and a thief. Other reviews illustrate he lacks the follow up service (other reviews put him at 3/5 overall), integrity and a sense of community. I could been more prudent when conducting my initial research but I didn't. I was sold by a man that swore his 43 years of experience would get the job done. Its clear that his 43 yeas of experience ***'s in cheating customers and not in landscaping.
