I dropped my chainsaw off for repair in November. I was assured the oiler could be fixed. Called 3 weeks later for an update "still waiting on parts." Never heard from them again. Decided if they can't fix the oiler I'll just pick it up as I can still use it and oil the chain manually as I need this tool for my property. Picked up my NOT repaired chainsaw but they still charged me $44 for a "shelving fee". I feel scammed as I paid $44 for them to hold my chainsaw for 3 months and not complete the promised repair. I asked for a refund and they said "no".Business response

WHEN A CUSTOMER BRINGS IN A CHAINSAW REPAIR WE REQUIRE A HAND HELD DEPOSIT. THIS DEPOSIT NOTICE IS POSTED AS A MINIMUM CHECK OUT FEE OF $44.00. REASSEMBLY CHARGES ARE EXTRA. BENCH FEE WAS ALSO VERBALLY COMMUNITCATED WITH THE CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER WAS AWARE OF THIS AS HE PAID THE DEPOSIT WHEN HE LEFT THE SAW. THE MECHANIC DISSASEMBLED THE SAW FINDING THE OILER WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. DUE TO THE AGE OF THE SAW, PARTS ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE THROUGH OUR MANUFACTURER. PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. WE WERE WAITING FOR BACKORDER RELEASE. CUSTOMER CHOSE NOT TO WAIT FOR THE PARTS AND PICKED UP HIS SAW. HE WAS GIVEN AN OPTION OF USING THE DEPOSIT TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A NEW SAW OR WAITING FOR THE PARTS TO COME IN AND REPAIR HIS UNIT.
