We hired this company to side our house and rebuild our deck. They contacted me while I was out of town working and told me the job was complete and asked that I pay the balance of what was due. I trusted them and payed them. When I returned home I found multiple examples of unsatisfactory work, work left unfinished and work not done to code or simply not done. Their trim work was shoddy. They never flashed around the chimney. They never put flashing or moisture barrier where the deck meets the house. They secured the deck to the house improperly and not to code. They used the wrong nails in the deck supporting structure and not enough of them. They built trip hazards into the deck. They fastened deck rail posts by setting the post on top of the deck and toe-nailing the post to the deck. The deck is 10 feet off the ground. Had someone who is not aware of how these posts are supposed to be fastened allowed a large person to lean against a post fastened in this manner it would break off and the person would certainly be injured if not dead.They neglected to flash over a lower extruding wall. They left exterior electrical outlets open to the elements. We've since had a Legal Licensed Contractor come and inspect the work. He said that PCS (Professional Construction Services) didn't know what they were doing and pointed many of these things out to us. Some of them dangerous like the wrong nails in the deck, the handrail posts flimsily fastened and the deck being improperly fastened to the house. We now have to pay from $10000-$15000 to have things corrected and brought up to code.
