    Dear Grand Traverse Motel,My name is ************************************************** and I have been subjected to what I believe to be a racist incident perpetrated by *****, a housekeeper. As the only client/tenant of color, this situation has been very distressing to me and my family. I have just called the front desk to lodge a complaint and ********* stated that I cannot speak to the manager and that everything has to go through her.I have asked in very polite ways to speak to a Manager at whatever time works best for the business but ********* has refused time and time again. She even incorrectly named my wife and was not present at the time of issue. I strongly believe this merits a management response and due investigation. I want to stress that I have behaved in a very polite manner throughout this ordeal.I have been staying in Room 138.Waiting for an answer...

    I never post bad reviews ever. BEWARE!! These motel reviews are not legitimate. The positive reviews are not accurate. Dirty, run down, creepy desk clerk, toilet doesn't flush, carpet in bedroom was so disgusting and sticky I wouldn't walk my dog on it, the clerk is deceitful about the occupancy of rooms, they only rent a small portion out because they can't afford to clean or repair the rooms they have, no refund despite my having pre paid four nights and didn't stay one. I booked two rooms for two couples. There is nothing even charming about this run down building. I was told absolutely no refund although the confirmation email said the day prior to arrival. We ended up staying down the road at a lovely place and ate the cost of this traverse motel just to leave. The clerk refused to get a supervisor when I asked for one when they didn't honor the cancellation (notice day before arrival). Since I booked multiple nights, I should have gotten partial refund but he refused and told us to leave if we didn't like it. The whole operation is terrible. Book at your own risk, stay at your own risk. I'm certain there are bed bugs, though I didn't let my stuff touch the ground. It's not quaint, or even retro. It's more pay by the hour if your get my drift. I would never ever stay here and the positive reviews I see here are not legitimate or if they are it's because the occupant was loaded the whole time. ???????????? Run. We legit walked away from four paid nights with no refund to pay twice as much down the road in order to avoid putting our bags down in the room.
