On September 9, 2023 two individuals from this business came to my house for a scheduled service call. I was immediately asked to sign an authorization, which I did - regrettably. I showed the workers the items I needed repaired. Through discussion, it was clear that they did not have adequate parts on hand for repairs. Despite this, they went to work installing a "temporary" fix to a minor item - this was not at all critical, no water was leaking, I did not ask for this to be done. I assumed this would be a minor charge. All of the above took about 15 minutes. They went back to their vehicle and came back to the door at exactly 30 minutes after arrival. They then gave me a total of $321.80 for the 30 minute visit, including what I expect was about $10 of parts for the temporary fix - citing their per-visit fee and one hour of labor. I paid the fee by check.My complaint is this:At no time was I given an amount for the per-visit fee (not during scheduling, nor on site)At no time was I given the work authorization amount At no time did they discuss when they would potentially return with adequate parts to finish the job I was not given a receipt for the work, nor offered an itemized explanation.I feel I was over billed for this visit. Their per-visit fee apparently includes no work, just cost to show up. This was not explained to me. It is clear now, that despite knowing they would need another service call to complete the work, their strategy was to do minimal work (2 minutes tops), milk the clock until they had collectively been there 1 hour (2 men X 30 minutes) and charge me accordingly.In retrospect I wish I had not signed the authorization, but felt it was required for them to initiate the service call. I also wish I had demanded billing detail. I was outraged at the price, and I just wanted them gone, so I paid.This business' practices wholly lacking transparency and borderline predatory.
