We value each of our residents and certainly do not single out individuals for poor service.  It would be hard to stay in business for 44 years if we did that.  When problems arise, we address them on a case by case basis.  In this case, the resident has only lived in her community for one year, so she may not be familiar with our processes.  For example, when we get snow, the contractor clears the roads first, then the driveways, and then the sidewalks and porches.  We completed a road project last year and this year that did result in some damage to some lawns.  When we made repairs late last fall, lawn patch (fiber mixed with seed) was applied to most areas needing repairs but in some cases, seed and straw were applied.  This was done at this resident's address as well as some of her neighbors.  So the assertion that she was singled out for this treatment is mistaken.  The resolution is that when we do our annual lawn repairs this fall, we will make the repairs to her lawn again.  As for her hedges, those are burning bushes.  Those kinds of bushes do develop gaps in the foliage over time.  The recommended solution is to trim them way down so that they can grow back more densely.  That's what we will do with this resident's hedges when the time comes...just like we do for everyone else.  Rest assured, we will continue to work toward satisfying all reasonable requests in our communities.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17701593, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

The claims provided by the business is false. 2 months prior to the annual lawn repair, I put in a work order regarding patches in the grass in my lawn. I was informed that lawn repair would being in the fall. When fall came, all the white co-owners received lawn patch (fiber mixed with seed), while only two ******* ********* co-owners received seed and straw! I have pictures. I asked why I did not receive the same lawn repair as the other co-owners, I was informed "they did not have anymore" as the business failed to mention. However, I put my request in 2 months prior to the fall. My work order was overlooked. I had to contact the office to check the status of the lawn repair to get the seed and straw. Yes, I have been a co-owner for a year, but it does not take a rocket scientist to see the subtle racism. Claiming " we value our residents" prove it! I contacted tilt owner requesting new hedges to planted. When I moved in the hedges were healthy, but as soon as a white tilt noticed I an ******* ******** was living at this address (because we went outside to check the service that was provided), he put a hold in the hedges (I have it on recording). I contact tilt owner and he stated the hedges need to be replaced. All I am asking for is lawn repair and the hedges to be replaced. That is not asking for too much. I pay my HOA fees every month

      Regards,

      ******* *****
