Our Cosmetic business purchased a 60 Qrt. Bowl Lift in 2021 from Bake Deco who is a distributor of Discount Bakery Equipment. When we contacted Bake Deco concerning a leaking Hydraulic Cylinder issue they referred us to Discount Bakery Equipment for warranty and parts replacements. Mind you this an Industrial piece of equipment which lasted past the warranty date of one year. Although, the amount of time this piece of equipment was actually used in production never even came close to the specified use time or capacity advertised. Was this Cylinder a lemon? After purchasing a new Cylinder and replacing; we came to an exploratory moment of what was the issue. After much research and phone calls to people specializing in Cylinders. We found that not only the original Cylinder was of poor craftsmanship, the replacement Cylinder was the exact same poor craftmanship. Scratches and scrapes which we photographed and sent to Discount Bakery Equipment. Our Business has heard nothing back on how the next interaction will be addressed with a now replaced poorly crafted Cylinder. We are hoping that this review submission might be a wake up for better business practice and to stand behind so called quality equipment regardless where it was designed. If there are truly no issues with this almost $7,000 piece of equipment then their customer service should reflect the pride of craftsmanship and assistance. We are leaving this open at this point with anticipated hopes of reconsideration of Discount Bakery Equipment quality assurance. Our business will certainly follow up on the future events for Better Business practices.

Good morning! I was not aware of this posting until today, 1/16/24, as I was personally refining our company BBB profile. I would have addressed this matter sooner if I was made aware. I have had zero contact with this person directly. Per the email, the unit was purchased through another distributor, and exceeded the manufacturers 1 year warranty. There is nothing in any literature from the manufacturer that says anything about an expected "use time" or life expectancy like the person above mentions either. All is subject to how the operator uses the machine.
