My 18 year old daughter took her car in for repairs. They did not give her a written estimate at all. A few hours later they called and told her the work would be around ***** and she verbally agreed. They still never gave her a written estimate. The next day they called and stated that they began the work and some parts either got broke or we broke that they didnt notice and it would be and additional $800. I feel she was taken advantage of and committed a crime by not giving her any estimates.Business response

The customer brought the vehicle into ********************************************* on 04/25/24 and signed the estimate sheet. The technician found the exhaust catalytic converter and exhaust pipes to be bad. The technician gave a written estimate for replacing the exhaust system for $2412.00 without Oxygen sensors (The oxygen sensors are in a spot where we cannot put our hands on them, so they would need to be removed to be inspected). The customer agreed to the repairs on 04/26/24. During the repairs the technician had to remove the passenger front CV axle. The technician found the CV axle to be damaged after removal. Both Oxygen sensors needed to be replaced upon inspection. Quality express called the customer and informed them that there was more needed. The customer approved up to $3064.00. The customers father called and said that we did not give an estimate, but we did. Quality express did not charge the customer for the CV axle, but we did charge for the Oxygen sensors. The total bill after the Oxygen sensors came to $2713.38.Initial Complaint

I went to quality car care center because of the sign out front that said easy financing instead of maxing out my credit cards,, I walked in and I asked the owner how the financing worked,, he said he didnt know,, he said to just text a number and that didnt work so then I sent an email and that didnt work, so then he handed me a pamphlet and said to call the number and sure enough I was approved for 2700.00$,, the work he did on my car only cost ****** and the finance company wants to charge me just under 3000.00$,, thats ridiculous,, none of the terms of the agreement were explained to beforehand,, Im being charged an apr of ******%,, they want 52 payments of *****,, that is absolutely insane,, I called the finance company and they just said you signed the contract, I will gladly pay the ****** but Im not paying 3000.00$. Can you help resolve this situation pleaseBusiness response

My name is *********************************, Manager at Quality Express Car Care Center. We apologize that there was a misunderstanding regarding the financing that we offer. The financing programs are either 90 or 100 day Same as Cash programs. This was explained to the customer at time of service. The customer has to sign the contract on their phone where the contract states that it is 90 or 100 days Same as Cash and the interest charges are up to 150% APR if not paid off with-in the Same as Cash time period. The finance charge were explained several times and they signed for it. Unfortunately the customer did not pay it off with-in the time allowed and now they are upset because of the large APR.All contract information is on the customers phone and is not the responsibility of Quality Express Car Care Center
