I hired college hunks to move me from my townhouse to a small duplex not 2 miles away on June 22nd. I was downsizing a lot. Thus I had sold a lot before hand. This move was for furniture ONLY and a washer/ dryer small propane grill (I moved the tank)patio furniture, small rowing machine a chase lounger and 3 pictures as I had moved and or sold EVERYTHING else.Pictures of the items they moved are below.I moved all small tables, lamps, pillows/cushions etc.I was quoted not over ****** as I was doing my best to have everything done within a 3-4hr move. Note: when I moved into that townhouse, I did much the same except they carried boxs up stairs for me in 2.5 hours time. With my huge downsizing I would expect much the same as I moved into a ***** sq floor duplex.I asked the movers what the world was taking so long. They were hugely over killed in their wrapping. I questioned and told that is how they validate their time, by the materials they use. Who am I to argue. It was a very hot day and taking breaks were absolutely necessary. I turned the A/C down to 60 for them. They did see an old coworker from before they got bought out come by. They stood out side talking to her for a solid hour. I mean it was hot. This move took them 7.5 hours!!They had talked about how they were not going to have to go to their 3:30 appointment. My bill was 1,129.64!!!I tried in good faith to resolve this with the company TWICE!I want to be compensated for the grill being damaged, and 2 missing boxes. They told me they could not take one (which I didnt expect as it was open for last minute items and would go in my car with me. This box had alcohol in the bottom of the box wrapped tightly and some other things in it. How they knew that is a question. It never made it to my duplex. They said they could carry it to my garage for me. Never saw it after that. The other box had my kids baseball card collections in it. Never recovered. I absolutely will warn ppl about my experience.

The movers broke my washer and I filed a claim. The move took place on 6/1. Its not 7/2 and no one is responding back to my phone calls. The business policy is supposed to be 5 to 7 business days. Its been over a month now and the business is just not responding. They need to reimburse me of the washer.

Told them my 2 car garage was full to about half-way up the wall, and was quoted about ******* to haul it all off. Two guys show up in a small truck. I took one look and knew it wasn't big enough. I should have just sent them on their way, but I didn't. The 2 guys were nice and did work hard, but their truck was not big enough to complete the job. They left behind an upright freezer and about 1/3 of the stuff in the garage. No one at booking told me there was a 30.00/15min. additional charge, and the guy actually told his boss it would be about ***** minutes! So, little truck, only 2 guys and they left about another truckload of junk behind, including the heavy freezer now parked in my driveway. They charged me ****** dollars, didn't have change, so they took ****** dollars and left a whole lot of junk behind. On their notes they marked the job complete. I really feel let down and ripped off. The job took 2 hrs, not 30 minutes.

The absolute worst move out of my 9 moves. First, they jumbled in their truck without telling me they are leaving. I looked around and found they did not take everything. I ran out to the truck to tell them they did not take everything. The lead guy jumped out of the truck and started yelling at me. I think he is bipolar. So, he takes some of the remaining items but not all. I ran back out to the truck to tell them. The lead guy came back in the house at took some more stuff and they took off. Turns out they did not take everything. It was only an hour and a half away move, but they stopped for lunch and charged me for it. They delivered the furniture and boxes but did not remove a lot of the wrappings. They also damaged the wall in stairway and did not bother to tell me. Bottom line is they did not complete the move.

College Hunks came out on and quoted me between $1600 and $2000 for a 3 bedroom condo to condo move. They were well aware that I had a large couch and piano as I made sure to point this out. When they came to move me on 5/25, they clearly pointed out all of my previously damaged furniture - fine, I thought they were being transparent. While moving, they cracked my tile floor, scratched my new hardwoods and damaged several walls - all of which they forgot to point out. They also stopped at ********** on the way over and charged me $120 for the 30 minutes they were there. They refused to move my piano and left in the driveway, until I insisted they moved it and they damaged another wall squeezing it into my basement. Then, they overcharged me by $500, refused to move the piano and made me sign the waiver even though I did not want to. Lastly, when I called **** about these problems, she told me I was lying, minimized what I said and when I disagreed with her, she screamed at me. She was screaming so insanely, I literally could not understand what she was saying by the end. They sent me plenty of texts and phone calls when they wanted my business, but now they refuse to call me back although I have sent repeated texts and phone messages. I am very unhappy with being overcharged, all the damage to my new place and my piano is still in the basement.

College Hunks Charged me 10k to move from ******** to *******. I had them put the furniture in storage and they said as long as I hire the same company in ******* they can put it back together. The ******* location charged me another 2k and was not able to put my furniture back together. I paid 12k and have a bunch of not put together headboards, bed frames, and dressers. All the rooms are a mess. I take care of my 70 year old mom and she has no where to sleep. Does college Hunks care? No! They made their 12k. On the bright side they offered 25$!!!!! Wow so they only netted ******. Horrible moving company and very predatory. Will take your money and not finish the job and leave you with more issues that you now have to pay to get fixed. I am just trying to get somebody to come here and put the furniture back together like they guaranteed when I handed them their money. I expect all 12k back for the move if they do not fix the issue

On April 25, we had College hunk movers come to move us from ****** ************* to ****************************. One of the three gentlemen complained the entire time about his injuries and seemed to always make things difficult. In the process 4 items were damaged, a childs kitchenette, my childs dresser, his bed and another small item Immediately handled the kitchen set and got us reimbursed, but we hadnt noticed the other items until after they were gone After almost 2 weeks of contacting different people, they all gave me the same response, I will reach out to the franchisee who will contact you. Again, it has been two weeks and yet Ive heard from no one. They are sloppy, unprofessional, and have no idea who is in charge, I dont recommend them, nor will I ever use them again

College Hunks had a 20 year old who reeked of alcohol added to the crew when I left to go pick up more of the items they missed moving from the initial location. That crewmember was yelling so loud it woke up my son from a nap and prompted my new neighbors to call me so they could complain about how loud he was specifically. They dumped trash from a wheelbarrow on my driveway and told the wheelbarrow. They grabbed monitors by the screen and refused to take an empty diaper genie. I had to explain to three separate employees that I did not want them to move an item and the fourth one moved it. I came into the garage to see they had broken a trash bag and the contents had been scattered around the garage. They did not pick it up. They tried to force me to sign a waiver absolving them of liability for breaking anything and refused to leave unless I signed it. I got on the phone with the branch manager who yelled at me over the phone and told me he would call the cops if I didn't sign. My home cameras were able to catch multiple of them slacking off on their phones for half an hour at a time while they were on the clock. I paid them and told them to get off my property. They came in thousands of dollars over other bids and thousands of dollars over budget in the end. The manager claimed they didn't know about a storage unit, but the storage unit is present on the quote. They are untrustworthy, unprofessional and downright bad at their job.

I had a number of donations to make as I am moving. Some of the furniture was high end and should have been sent to a donation center. The team stated that they would take this to a donation site (habitat for humanity) and I would be forwarded the information. I believe it was all thrown away, and they do not return email. Later I realized that they had lied as the closest site is St. *****************************, and the other site is at least 25 min away vs 8 min (and 2 miles)This is an issue on several levels, 1) false advertisement, 2) It cost the donator additional monies as it is no longer a tax deduct this from my taxes. 3) Bad for the environment.Furthermore I am upset that they would have the audacity to throw out these items, some of which were antiques. I could have had a dealer take these, but I was pressed for time.In addition, I gave each of the employees $40 cash tip for a total of $80. This is despicable.
