When we moved into our new home last year we sought out a inset door blind solution for two rear doors in our house. We finally found a local vendor (Budget Blinds in ************, **) and purchased two of the Blink ODL door units. I believe Budget Blinds provided a 2 year warranty, but the website indicates a 10 full warranty on their products. All was fine for the first **** months, but recently the blind started having operational issues (partially or fully closing when the door shut. The occurrence is random, and does not seem to be the result of any changes in force of the closing. You can shut it as you do any door...and the issue occurs...randomly. I took this issue to Budget Blinds. They were slow in responding but requested a video, which was sent to them and ultimately forwarded to ****************** (a distributor). Their warranty person responded that the issue is a common issue and offered no path to resolution. She also sent a brochure, which was not helpful, and what appeared to be a piece of training material designed to help their customer service people deal with customers regarding the issue. I called the Blink Blinds customer service department. The person I spoke to (did not get her name) indicated that the issue is known and Blink does not intend to fix the issue, or disclose it in their sales material. They seem to be pretty comfortable with the problem...and continuing to sell a flawed product. The video showing the problem is available, but is too large to upload in your tool. It can be sent separately via WeTransfer.Business response

I spoke with the customer and the franchise that sold them the product. I explained how the product works and got more info from the customer. We decided on a remedy that includes ODL sending a new unit to the franchise and their installer will replace the defective unit at no cost.
