We hired them to prepare an area of gravel class 5 to be leveled in order to have a shed built on it. Because they did not level it we incurred more expenses from the shed company that had to level it as it was off by 8-10inch of level. The structure is now literally built off the gravel we paid for. I spoke to Greg by phone. He asked what compensation we wanted. I discussed the above issue with him and said that we had to pay additional $500 in labor cost to the shed company builders. He was not willing to compensate us at all. Being a corporation for 29 years, employing ***** people annually, working for several government agencies as well as being a licensed and bonded general contractor for the Mille Lacs band for 17 years. As a response to her comment, her husband called on Monday who built a U-shaped timber wall to put a shed on who said they were having a shed delivered Thursday, with our extremely busy schedule, was there any way we could get there before Thursday when the shed would be delivered and fill the timber wall up level with the top of the timbers which he built and installed himself. We as a business should not have to double check his work/leveling skills; obviously the bottom timbers were not level, so therefore the top timbers were not level. We did our job as we were told to do, to bring the dirt level with the top timbers. As an example, common sense would tell you if you were building a new house if the foundation was not level the roof would not be level. For a job we did trying to accommodate a customer, we did this so they could have their shed delivered as planned.
