Stay away from this facility. From everything that I have seen, this business routinely issues "Notice of ******** Non-Coverage" within 5 days of admittance to their facility in order to move patients off their ******** coverage onto private pay status because they get paid a whole lot more money from the patient than they do by ********. Their physical therapists do therapy to have the patient meet minimum standards so they can recommend therapy is needed less than daily, in order to say it does not meet ******** standards for a skilled nursing facility which pushes the patient off ******** insurance and makes the patient have to pay for the care out of their savings. This facility tailors their medical records and therapy to meet ********'s minimum punch list and trigger words to receive a denial of ******** coverage when the patient appeals the decision. The facility does not provide a complete picture of the patients condition to ******** making it easy for ******** to deny continued coverage. In our instance they stated to ******** that the patient could walk 150 feet in a ****** which is a ******** trigger word, but did not tell ******** that the patient was a single 74 year old woman that lives alone in a 2 story townhome where the only bedrooms and only bathroom was on the 2nd floor and she needed the strength and coordination to be able to go up and down 14 steps multiple times a day to go to the bathroom and go to sleep. They didn't tell ******** that she was still unable to do stairs safely at the time the facility was recommending an end to ******** coverage and that she still needed skilled nursing therapy. They made it as hard as they could for us to appeal the decision to end ******** coverage by not providing any reasons why they themselves were trying to get her booted off her ******** insurance even though we requested the reasons for denial multiple times with multiple people. If you care about your loved one STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!!!
