      We had a package to be sent, the package was 3.5 pounds, the store charged us over ****** to ship and another ***** to package the item for us. It was to go three day. Insane charges! A label was created at 715p night of drop off which we dropped at 845am that morning. Item never showed leaving the store. Never scanned on a truck. We then had to go through multiple phone calls to the store, to *** corporate, **************** with *********** customer. Ate up so much of our time. Item was a ****** pair of Canada goose pants with tags attached. The store was given and we paid for pants to package up themselves and send - and they just lost them. Interesting fact, *** only guarantees items up to ******. That guarantee comes from corporate so store doesnt eat that cost from hat we could gather at *** store corporate. Interesting, when I filed a police report and had all of my paper trail /receipts uploaded to the corporate *** store complaint center, the pants on the last day of waiting mysteriously showed up back at the ** store. What a miracle. When asked where pants had been for nearly two weeks we were told a warehouse. Huh? How did the pants know to go back to original sending store when the the two addresses on package wouldve been to our sender and our return address? How did they end up back at ** store from a warehouse when they were never even scanned into the *** system in the first place. Only good thing I have to say is thank you ** police department for caring and the pressure placed on this store.

      This complaint is against the UPS Store at *****************************, I paid over $95 to have a package delivered to a family member in **. We were told the package was damaged and would not be delivered and that was it. My family member did not get to see the damaged package, so how do we know it was actually damaged. The UPS store needs to be accountable for their deliveries. I wouldn't be filing a complaint if the fee to send the pack was less than what I paid. I guess I will have to send my packages through ***** next time.

      *** ships the packages; not The *** Store. As a franchise, we create a shipping label and the customer pays us. We put the package in our secure designated package hold area out-of-sight from any other customers. *** driver picks up all the packages (******* per day at our store) and puts them into the *** shipping system.Customer (is a man, not *****) paid us to pack and ship the winter outer garment. I, (the owner for over 16 years) happened to be the one who helped them at the register and also packing the item in our box. After packing it, I placed it in the pile with the other packages that were to be picked up that day. The regular *** driver picked up the 400+ packages as usual.When the package did not arrive as expected, we contacted *** for an answer. There wasn't a record for that package in their system (approx. ***** million packages go through the domestic *** system on a daily basis) and on the rare occasion the package scans are not found or updated). Since *** had no record of delivery, they began a Lost Package Investigation on Jan. 14 at our request on behalf of our customer. If *** can not locate it or show proof of delivery after 8 business days, they will issue a claim to reimburse the customer for the loss of the item plus the shipping & packaging costs. That takes another ***** days for the check to be processed and received.We are in the middle of that 8-business-day period. If the package is found, *** will notify us and we will notify our customer.There was no mention of damage by anyone to our customer. The customer has also filed a Police report with the Apple Valley PD. An AVPD officer visited the store yesterday (Thu, Jan. 20) to follow up with the report. As he was finishing up, he remarked to our Asst *** that 'this is a waste of his time'.If anything changes with this package I will notify the customer, AVPD & the ************************ me know if there are any questions.Regards,********************* - owner

      I found the reply from the store owner amusing. I think he has us mistaken with another unhappy customer. The only thing he got correct is that my dad was the person who went to the store to have the package sent. All the other information in this reply is incorrect. We did not send any winter outerwear, my brother lives in FL. We were told our package was damaged not lost, and we did not file a police report.
