May of 2022 I hired a contractor, American Home Remodeling out of *******, ********* and ******************* who said he is the co owner of American Home Remodeling came over to my house and said American Home Remodeling will fix all the hail damage on my house for whatever money the insurance paid me. It included part of the siding, the entire roof, some broken screens, some gutters, and a back screed door ******************* promised to replace. After numerous phone calls to ******************* all I got was lies and half truths about why the work was not done. Come December 2022 someone from American Home Remodeling came out and replaced 2 small pieces of ************************** took off my house for my insurance company to compare so they can replace the ones damaged my hail,. After a compliant on the American Home Remodeling website, the e2 pieces were replaced and NOTHING ELSE. In the months from May 2022 to now, December 2022 all I get is lies and half truths from ******************* at American Home Remodeling and thats it. ******************* took ALL OF MY INSURANCE MONEY, EVERY ***** OF IT over $14,000.00 and all he did was put on a roof on my house. The crew came for my roof and no material, no roofing material , no dumpster, no nothing. The crew took off my old roof and still nothing. They had to wait for all the material to finish my roof., For some reason he refuses to do the rest of the work the insurance company paid for. HE HAS MY INSURANCE MONEY AND REFUSES TO GIVE THE PORTION BACK TO MINUS THE COST OF THE **** AND WILL NOT NOT DO ONE MORE THING THE INSURANCE COMPANY PAID FOR. He allegorically stole my insurance money. Its that simple. I still have material in my side yard that the roffing crew took off some trailer the roofing material came on and just left it in my yard. A few hundred dollars of material is still laying my yard for the last 3 OR 4 MONTHS and no one wants it back. It is not buried under the snow on my side yard. I want a refund of the work ******************* refuses to do so my new contractor will do the work American Home Remodeling refuses to do. I am 74 years old and so maybe ******************* thinks he can take advantage of a elderly senior citizen.

      To whom it may concern,

      Regarding: Complaint ID #: ********
      ******************** ID: 0704
      Business ID: ********

The complaint in question is not valid. American Home remodeling collected a portion of the insurance check for roughly $5,000 for the ordering of material and to start the project. Once the project started rolling, we collected a second check for roughly $11,000 to continue the work. These two-dollar amounts would equal the first portion of his insurance check.  At this point the homeowner would have still owed us money for the work once the job was complete. After we submitted the final dollar amount to his insurance company, he would have received supplement payments and final deprecation from his insurance company for work that was completed. During the process of completing the work, winter came, and the project was put on hold. At this point all that was left to complete was gutter work. The homeowner assumed we took the money and ran but that was not the case. We finished the work in January and have not been fully compensated.  We made several attempts to contact the customer to collect the final payment but have not heard from him. We are still owed roughly $15,000.

I am rejecting this response because: American Home Remodeling had most of Spring of 2022 and all of Summer of 2022 and most of fall before it stated to snow to complete a very simple project.   American Home Remodeling failed to do so.  i had to wait months to get this done, well into the winter. The only time American Home Remodeling responded was when I filed a complaint against them.  ******** American Home Remodeling had to replace my roof, left materials on my lawn .  I had informed *** at Home American Remodeling about this on numerous occasions.  When *** was at my house, he simply walked past the material waste in my yead, and ignored it, again, numerous times.  A portion on my grass in my side yard is now dead and *** promised me he would put grass seed on it.  *** did that and nothing happened.  He told me was going to put sod down to make it right in the early Spring of 2023 and again, to no surprise that was never done.  I still have a damaged grass in my side yard becuase *** had all of Summer of and Fall of 2022 pick up the trash the roof installers left there, and, again to no surprise that was never done.  The snow came and buried it all.  I still need the sod to replace the grass that is damaged.

I do have the insurance check from State Farm is ii is nowhere near the amount that *** is requesting.  American Home Remodeling needs to replace my damaged lawn before they get paid.  *** told me and my girlfriend that he would do the job for whatever the insurance paid so if he thinks he is owed some $15,000 American Home Remodeling is not getting anywhere near that amount,  i can only pay what the insurance company paid me.
