Date of transaction: 8/16/2021 Amount: $10,120 Dugger Mechanical committed to provide the installation of a new Ruud brand central air conditioner and furnace with Aprilaire humidifier, along with a uv sanitizing light for a quoted price of $10,000. Additionally, provide the install of a new motor for the air exchange system for a quoted price of $180 within 2 weeks of new ac and furnace. Dispute: 1.) When the new unit arrived at my home, it was a different brand that what was originally sold to me (Weather King as opposed to the quoted Ruud brand). I called this out to Dugger Mechanical and was told its basically the same thing. Bait and switch was used in the sale of the product. 2.) The air exchange motor that I was told would be installed in 2 weeks for the cost of the motor $180 was never installed to date. I have multiple calls and text trying to get a status and the excuse made by the business is they cant find a motor. Finally as of April 22 I received an email quote for $466.53, which is $300 over the quoted price and nearly 8 months after the business said it would be installed.3.) The first time I had to use the humidifier that was installed on the furnace was in January 2022. The system was not working and business was notified on 1/16/2022. Follow up wasnt done by the business until 3/30/22. Dugger finally came to the house on 4/13/22 but was still unable to get the humidifier to properly work. 4.) On the morning of 5/21/22 I attempted to turn on my furnace. The heating system did not turn on via the thermostat. I reached out to Dugger Mechanical to resolve this new issue and business is not returning my calls or text messages. Furnace is still not working. 5) 10 year warranty for furnace and ac has not yet been completed/registered by Dugger Mechanical, 9 month delay Resolution: Requesting that Dugger Mechanical complete the work as promised and to ensure I have a properly running furnace, air conditioner and humidifier.
