I wish I could give 0. I withdrew from a test on April 16th. I was told via email that I would receive my refund of $139 within a week. A week rolled around and no refund came through. I called and they told me they were sending it to finance and they would reach out when they had a solution. I called a few weeks later for an update and was told the same thing. It is now June 13th and I still don't have my mom. Said the finance department is who handles it. I want my money back.This testing system in general is such a scam. It is so specific to content that teachers "need to know" and then we don't end up using any of it. I've taken a test 6 times and the previous two I missed by 3 or 4 points. When I called asking for feedback or how to improve, they told me they can't tell me anything. It is also so frustrating that a person is scoring the open responses. Yes, i totally understand why, but that means a person may score it entirely different one test and then entirely different another. I received the same open response multiple times and wrote the same thing content wise and had different scores for each. Make it make sense.Review from Anna C

I come to express my dissatisfaction with the person vue company, responsible for applying the *** proficiency test in ******, state of ********. ************* is one of the main states in the country, with only two dates and two times available for taking the test. This makes the test environment full of candidates in the same place at the same time, hindering concentration during the test. the place provides old and poor quality headsets, necessarily compromising the skills for the test. I emphasize that the test has a high financial cost and many candidates are being rejected due to these problems and have to pay again since the company does not take action to solve these problems frequentReview from Noah G

I am utterly shattered by the ordeal I endured at the testing center TLAB in garden city, ********. 06/01/2024 I was met with a heart-wrenching setback that I never anticipated. As I sat there, pouring my efforts into the exam, I was abruptly interrupted and rushed out the door, before my time was due to expire. The reason? The *******, tasked with ensuring the smooth facilitation of the test, abruptly abandoned their post, citing a personal emergency that demanded their immediate attention. At first he said it was the school that would cut off the testing time and that the high school (which the testing center is located) would cut off the electricity to the testing room. Which was a complete lie. As soon as I was escorted out like a criminal he says I have to drive 2 hours to see someone in a hospital lies spewing out of his mouth over and over again. I stayed for an additional 30 minutes at the school waiting for my ride electricity wasnt cut off at all as the whole school and testing room was powered till I left 30 minutes later. He kept hovering over me over the last hour of the exam which me feel uneasy and anxious and at some point kept telling me I dont have enough time even though I had 30 minutes left on my timer on the screen. I told him I had 30 minutes left and he said I dont know what to tell you, I need to leave, I dont know what to tell you, you gotta leave and the electricity is going to be cut off the lack of respect to someones hard efforts and time invested in learning is appalling.After he kicked me out he kept saying Ill pay for your retest and hey, if you passed would you actually retake the test? Quickly showing his lack in sincerely even paying for the retest.DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEST HERE! Do not test at **** During the test the man was having full blown conversations which all the test takers would hear. I love how this company offers IT certifications of all kinds to be taken on their platform, but when you try and take an online exam like Security+ , their own testing website/app refuses to work. This leaves the user in an extremely expensive/bad predicament. This just happened to me, but I was lucky enough to be able to get my voucher code back through the help of a customer ********************** rep. via. chat. Pearson has horrible customer ********************** because there is no phone number to reach an actual person for urgent issues. They also have a strong track record of overpricing their books for all students, and now, they are offering horrible digital products at insanely inflated prices to people who are trying to further their education/careers. Pearson, you're a joke and are horrible at everything you do, why don't you adjust your ridiculous prices to match the terrible products and services we all regrettably have to buy/use? I took time off of work to take this exam, and because of your terrible platform and services, I now have to reschedule my exam and take more time off of work. ZERO would be a better review. Over 2 weeks ago I went to take a test for the third time because TWICE the system went down. I still cannot reschedule a test, they've done nothing but tell me if I schedule another test on my own part out of pocket again before a case manager reschedules it then I cannot get a refund! So in extremely competitive market I'm behind others seeking the same jobs because they're able to take their tests and attach the permit needed but I'm out at the back of the line TWICE after their system failure! Add insult to injury, again, if I go ahead and schedule like I'm brand new, so I can hurry up and get my permit, they won't give me a refund! GREED AND ZERO CARE GIVEN ZERO HELP AND WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY OVER AND OVER AGAINReview from Allan M

If I could give ZERO I would. I need accommodations and this organization has been the absolute worst to deal with. What I really need are accommodations to deal with Pearson Vue. Customer ********************** is in another country. Constantly put on hold. Constantly checking. Hard to understand the customer ********************** people who have no clue. Impossible to find a date that works for me. Ive been on hold for the equivalent of way too many hours. I have called at least 10 times to get this scheduled and finally got through after at least an hour of hold time. And, they did not honor my days of availability or times of availability. I finally gave up or else would have to wait several months to schedule. It is unfortunate that Pearson View is a monopoly. They are simply atrocious.Review from Gemie L

If I could give zero that would be more suitable. These people have cause me so much stress and two job positions. You have to email and email and email to get a response. When you call they put you on hold for over an hour and still the issue is not fixed. They take your money and stress the f*** out of you and play out with your emotions. This IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! The worst part is that theyre the only company to take the licensing exam with. Article: The Emotional Toll of Communication Failure and Company Inaction The emotional abuse resulting from a lack of communication on how this company is addressing the issue is deeply troubling. Despite stressing that my job was on the line, they have shown a lack of concern in expediting the process to unlock my account. Initially, they gave me false hope that I would be able to retake the exam at no extra cost due to falling ill in the middle of it. It seems like they are exploiting their position as the sole provider of this exam.I registered to take the ** insurance licensing exam with Pearson VUE, but during the test, I began vomiting and hurried to finish. Upon reaching out to inquire about a retake due to my illness-induced performance, they requested documentation from my doctor. Despite providing all the necessary paperwork, they denied my request for a retake. I have sent numerous emails and made countless calls, often being put on hold for extended periods, sometimes spending over an hour on the phone with them.After making a payment and patiently waiting for confirmation that my account had been unlocked so I could register for a retake of the exam, I heard nothing for over a week. I had to proactively contact them, sending three emails, only to be informed that the information provided was incorrect and the payment could not be processed. It turns out they had misspelled my last name. Once again, I find myself on hold for over an hour trying to rectify this issue. There is a lack of accountability/respectReview from Brigid D

One star is generous, I wish I could give zero or negative stars. Pearson is by far the worst company for education. If you are here on this page then you already know they are. I paid and took a pretest, but due to a website maintenance (from 7:30am-4:30pm on a Tuesday???) I was unable to review my results again the day of my test. I relied on those results as a means of studying. I called to at least get my money back for not having access to my results and they do not care. I can't believe I couldn't get access to pretest results- that I PAID FOR. When I called to speak to costumer support the final word was non-refundable. I paid for a goods and services I ultimately did not receive. We all know Pearson and other big education companies don't actually care about helping people in education, they care about themselves and their pocketbooks. I have felt more stress from the company itself than the actual test. Also, the website is intentionally confusing. It literally makes no sense that a company so mismanaged and horrible to work with, has so much power in the education field. Pearson is the worst.Review from Cecily V

Purchased a subscription for a book for my class. They lock you in on a mandatory 4 month rental for the book and I was not aware of this until after I tried to cancel. They are scam artists and it is very unfortunate as students should not have to be tricked into these subscriptions. They can have the extra $20 dollars from me but their business practices are just scammy. Pearson do better.
