I am not liable for this debt with Citibank, N.A. I do not have a contract with ABSOLUTE RESOLUTIONS, they did not provide me with the original contract as I requested.

      Customer response

      07/12/2024

I am not sure what a validation letter is. I am disputing the debt here and through Experian. I am disputing this debt with Citi Simplicity because I do not have a contract with Absolute Resolutions.

      Business response

      07/15/2024

This is a Citi Simplicity Card account originated by Citibank, N.A. on 4/7/15. The account charged off on 3/5/20 and was sold to Absolute Resolutions in 5/20.  Validation of debt will be sent to the address listed in this complaint.

      Customer response

      07/23/2024

I am rejecting this response because: I received a packet in the mail yesterday with my contract with Citibank. The only thing it provided was my total and interest. My contract was with Citibank, not Absolute Resolutions. Again, I do not have a contract with Absolute Resolutions. My desired resolution is a correction to my credit report and that the account be removed.

      Business response

      07/24/2024

The 66-page validation packet that was sent contains a letter from Citi that was sent 6/1/20 notifying *************************************** of the sale of the account to *********************************************.  The packet also contains the Bill of Sale and Assignment.  Several billing statements, a copy of the judgment, and the card agreement are also included in the packet sent.

      Customer response

      07/26/2024

I am rejecting this response because: I did not sign a contract with Absolute Resolutions. I do not have a contract with Absolute Resolutions. My contract was with Citibank. Please make the correction to my credit report and remove this account. Thank you.

On April 5, 2024, Absolute Resolutions Inv., which is a debt collector, received my dispute letter in which I requested verification of a debt associated with account number ***********. Before I discovered this account on my credit report, I had no prior knowledge of its existence. I cannot recall having any financial obligation to them, and I am skeptical about their legal authority to collect from me.Furthermore, under the Texas Finance Code, they were required to respond to my verification request within 30 days. There is no evidence that they complied with this requirement. Therefore, I respectfully request the removal of this disputed and unverified account from my credit report.

      Business response

This is a BMG LoansAtWork, LLC account originated 10/9/21.  The account charged off 9/30/23 and was sold to Absolute Resolutions in 11/23.  The request for validation was received in 4/24. Validation of debt was sent to ******************************* at the address listed in this complaint on 4/8/24.

      Customer response

      07/02/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

First of all, there is no evidence supporting the debt collector's claim to have replied to my request for verification within the specified 30-days under the Texas Finance Code.  In addition, the debt collector has already violated my rights as a consumer.  I have already suffered damages due to their willful negligence.  I am making every effort to resolve this matter without retaining an attorney to present this case before a jury.  And recover any damages.

      Business response

      07/03/2024

A copy of the debt validation letter and packet that was sent on 4/8/24 was retained and will be resent.

      Customer response

      07/04/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

First of all, there is no evidence that any response to my request for verification was sent.  Secondly, any documentation or information provided at this point is too little to late.  The debt collector has already violated my rights under the Texas Finance Code.  At this point, I am respectfully requesting the removal of the invalidated item from my credit.  I am making every effort to resolve this matter without presenting my case before a court room jury.

This complaint is against Absolute Resolutions Investments, LLC, which is not the original creditor of this account and will not verify the debt. Absolute is fraudently reporting incorrect information on my credit report. The date this account is reporting opened is incorrect, the balance should be zero dollars. This account is too old to still be reporting and too old to be collected on. Absolute Resolutions has taken me to court, settlement was paid. However, I missed a payment of 400 dollars, offered to pay and absolute resolutions refused and closed the case, supposedly. Instead, AR keeps insisting that I owe 1843, which would be the full amount of the account, which was not stated by the judge. I owe nothing, am paying nothing more, but my credit report needs to report the correct information. This account was not opened in 2018, because absolute resolutions is NOT the original creditor. I refuse to allow this company to keep revolving this OLD information and I am requesting that it be deleted from my credit reports because I'm going to keep smearing Absolute Resolutions reputation, as you're doing mine.

      Business response

This is a First ************* of ***** account originated 2/16/17.  The account charged off on 12/5/18 and was sold to Absolute Resolutions in 9/20.  A judgment was granted in the amount of $3736.66, minus payments that had been made of $400, plus costs totaling $106.50. Absolute Resolutions agreed to forbear enforcement and collection of the total judgment amount as long as a settlement amount of $2400 was paid in $100 monthly payments.  Account balances are not adjusted based on settlement agreements. ********************* signed the Consent Judgment.  The total of $2000 in payments has been received so far.  Once the remaining $400 is paid, the account will be considered settled in full and an update will be sent to the ************************* to reflect such.  A copy of the signed Consent Judgment that states the total judgment amount granted as well as the agreed upon settlement of $2400 was sent to Yutongia ****** on 4/24/23.  A review of the tradeline reflects it is reporting accurately to the ************************* to reflect a current total balance of $1843.16 and an open date of 9/20.  It is requested that ********************* provide a copy of any inaccuracies shown on the credit report to ************************************************* so further investigation can be conducted.

      Customer response

      06/03/2024

I am rejecting this response because:
In response to absolute resolutions and the case of 400 dollars, let me explain. First of all, absolute resolutions is lying. I called them and we had a discussion over the phone as to why this account was still on my credit report as owing 1843. After discussion, I realized I was wrong and I did owe an additional 400 dollars. So, I called absolute resolutions back and said, I am willing to pay the 400 dollars to settle this account. A representative at absolute resolutions stated, this account has been closed and we can not accept the 400 dollars. The reason absolute resolutions stated that is because they thought I was dumb enough to pay an additional 1843. Secondly, this account is too old to be collected on and I'm not paying. Also, their phone calls are recorded, so if I have to get an attorney to subpoena their phone records, I will. Absolute Resolutions never offered to accept 400 dollars because we would not be here today. I made that phone call during the beginning of this year because I'm cleaning up my credit report.

      Business response

      06/03/2024

********************* contacted Absolute Resolutions on two occasions.  The call recordings were reviewed.  Absolute Resolutions did not state that the account was closed and the remaining $400 was not due.  ********************* stated in both calls the refusal to pay the remaining $400.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. In response to your demand I must say that If I want to run my credit reports again in order to get a copy of trade line it will cost me money and it may effect my score negativly as it will be considered another Hard inquiery. As to the issue of emailing to Absolute Resolutions I must say that I do not want to reveal my most private information (i.e. Email) to some fardulent companies that are making money by breaking the laws. As I said in my complaint I did not see any account number nor I have ever had any letter from these people and never had any contract with them. Please let me know if this response is sufficient to process my compliant otherwise I will see what are the possibilities to fulfil your demand.
Again thank you so much for your help in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:
Thank you so much for your assistance in this matter. Total lie and I have received none of the documents that they claim that they sent to me. How is this possible??? *** allegedly claims that whatever they sent to me was returned to them and then I received their documents????!!!!! This company is a law breaker and I will continue my activities and even escalate to higher authorities. Apparently they are not inline with logic and the laws unlike whatever they claim. They have taken everything for granted and apparently have been dealing with uninformed victims of their activities. I am not uninformed and I am after them to make them learn how to comply with the Laws of The Land.

Again Thank you so much for your assistance and I guess from this point on you'll be out of this issue. I will appeal to State and Federal Authorities.
