they delivered the documents to my brother. in the document it said I had to respond before a certain date but I was not given any documents but my brother was and I dont live at that address. The delivered the documents to him on the day I was supposedly supposed to answer by.

This company is the worst! If you ever come to any agreement - GET IT IN WRITING!!!! - was told the credit reporting would be dropped off the report - and shocker - after it was settled - they changed their tune - and left it on there. I reminded the guy that we had agreed, and he said nothing like that happened - I wish I had gotten it in writing. Get EVERYTHING you agree on - IN WRITING! Very unethical company!

Jessica D. Here The woman behind the phone bullies consumers and does not offer reasonable ways to pay back the debt. She is abrasive, hangs up, and interrogatives In a further verbally aggressive manner. Despite this being a debt amount that could be settled outside of court, she consistently uses bullying tactics to try to convince consumers they will end up in court. I feel so sorry for this company. The woman that always answers will never get anything settled. In fact, her unprofessionalism if they do Q &A calls would make them want to exit the company immediately. She is a c***, a bully, and the most hateful human being I have had the trauma of dealing with. She has likely traumatized others through her bullying tactics. I will be filing a pain and suffering civil suit due to the severe mental distress she has caused me. I hope this matter is resolved in a timely manner.

I've paid the fraud, collections account, after several credit reeport disputes this evil empire still shows up on my credit report as negative

I had a $1400 account sent to them for collections. I understood because I did owe the money and couldn't due to illness and job loss. I contacted ARC when I was able to and asked them if they could remove it from my credit report because it was affecting my ability to rent an apartment. They said pay the full amount and we will. I borrowed from my 401k and paid it off, thrilled to know it would be taken off my report. It's thrilled ONLY collections on there. A year later, they are refusing to remove it. Two other agencies gracefully kept their word. This company did not and I was just turned down for an apartment because of this just recently. It was paid in full with no arguments from me over a year ago. Is it really important to them to s**** people over? Especially if the debt has been paid and they agreed to REMOVE the trade line? We're in a recession and I need to find affordable housing.

ARC apparently "purchased" some old debt of mine for pennies on the dollar, then came after me (using the law for a VERY unethical practice to begin with) for the full amount. They supposedly sent me a notice to an address I no longer lived at; however, they somehow were able to get my current address and serve me with a court summons. Why they never resent their original notice to my current address BEFORE filing a collection complaint (lowering my credit score while also attempting to drag me into court to "collect" on their "investment") is beyond me. Not once did they or their so-called "lawyers" (actually partners) return my phone calls or emails. Since they already filed a court summons, I guess they figured they didn't need to talk with me. After I paid them in full (due to their bullying practices), they would not respond to my inquiry into how long it will take them to remove their complaint from my credit report. In short, ARC is a highly unethical company owned and operated by a bunch of bottom-feeders who make a living by bullying people, using the law as a baseball bat.

i HAD TO LEAVE A STAR RATING... IF I COULD IT WOULD BE A NEGATIVE.Shady company. This company is a company that does not work with people to resolve a debt. They purchase debts from other companies. I have paid off a debt that was sent to another company hired by Absolute Resolution and a judgement was issued against me. I paid off the debt contacted the company to get the item removed from my credit report. The company will not do this. I had to leave SEVERAL messages for a call back. Was instructed to email the company to get this item removed from my report. The email came back as this is not the email to discuss this and I needed to call another number that I had already left two messages for a call back. The people that work there are very condescending to people. Will not discuss removing an item. VERY RUDE COMPANY.
