Ive adopted 2 dogs from the organization and fully plan to adopt more in my lifetime from them. They always put the dogs first and make sure you get the right fit. I was treated with kindness with both adoptions. I would give them more stars if I could

This group does NOT want fosters to be honest with applicants. Please see reviews below that will fully support what I experienced. As a ******, I can say my personal experience was **** wanted to get the dog adopted ASAP. I was criticized by this organization for being honest with applicants about my fosters traits (frequent urinating that would perhaps require extensive house training and/or wearing a diaper) No Do Left Behind is a first come first serve rescue. That means that they are not truly interested in finding the best home, the best adopter, or the best life for their dogs. It means that their first applicant gets the dog regardless of whether that applicant is a good fit. And so much worse than that, another ****** mom with **** confided in me that she witnessed a dog being hit by one of the **** volunteers-whose name I have. Its sad and disappointing that a group who claims to want the best for dogs doesnt have their dogs best interests at heart.

I am sorry to say that our experience with NDLB was not a great one. - The dog was not accurately represented by the organization. (They said he was "cat safe", but he tried to kill our cat. They said he was "low key & relaxed", but he was the most high energy dog we've ever cared for and he was aggressive during play, leaving all of us with bruises, scratches and bite marks.) - **************** is unclear about who their staff is and how to communicate with them. We had a very hard time getting ahold of people to help us and they were reluctant to give us any information or clear answers to our questions. Their responses lacked sensitivity and professionalism. We had to track them down and create a paper trail with direct questions that required clear answers to ensure that the dog was getting returned and that we would get our money back. - We believe they are not properly vetting animals, volunteers, or adoptive families. The previous ****** told us she didn't even officially ****** through NDLB, that she was "just helping out a friend." And we discovered that the organization didn't call either of our references before adopting the dog to us. This is a safety risk for everyone! - We found out through the Attorney General that is has been 2 years since they filed for their 501c3 status. I don't want this organization to get shut down, but considering these are some of the highest adoption fees in the area, we believe they should be better vetting ***************** and providing some training for their key volunteers to learn how to communicate with people professionally. They are not doing their due diligence. This was an extremely stressful experience and we for sure would not work with NDLB again.

I am searching for a new family dog and was eagerly looking to meet a dog they have advertised as a breeder release ready for adoption. They describe this dog as being very calm and does not want to walk far when taken for walks. This temperament is unheard of in typical goldens. I wanted to meet this dog and have been waiting a week to do so. I spoke to the adoption coordinator who put me in touch with the ****** caring for this dog. The ****** wanted to immediately let me know how sick the dog is with a heart condition that requires daily medication and is being treated by the *********** hospital. Well no wonder she is subdued and doesnt enjoy walks. Im grateful the ****** was so outspoken about this pups problems. I wish I could give this pup a happy, healthy home. But I live on a fixed income. And shame on the rescue group leaving it to the ****** mother to have to break the news about this dogs illness.
