Our cement was put in 3years this year. We have very bad "pitting" all through out whole drive. The concrete itself has issues. We never put nothing on it. I contacted the owner **** on Tuesday April 25th he said he'd be out next day to look at it. He never came!! Called him back April 26th left message to call back no response. Called April 27th left another message no response. I paid him in full once job was done he had his money right away. Very disrespectful!! I had contractor out here today to get answer & they told me it is the concrete itself bad mixture. Very rude no response back I gave plenty of time for **** to get back to ************* Also telling me he will be out& never did. Very disgusted! All that money out & we did nothing. All neighbors surrounding have older cement & no issues. Also, my parents have 31 year old ************* said our 3 year old cement looks worse then theirs!

We at F.H. Schmidt, Inc. have a 1 year warranty on our work, stated clearly on our Proposals. We cannot warranty the work indefinitely. No one can or does. We install the concrete. We don't mix it.We were not notified about the pitting until 3 years later by the customer. We offered to come back and re-seal the driveway for a nominal charge, if the customer would power wash it and get it ready. We never received a response. The customer says they never put any chemicals on the driveway, and we do believe that. But people need to remember, this is *********, the most heavily chemically treated roads in the country.The chemicals are going to get on your driveway if you drive on it, and cause rock pops and pitting. The following is an email sent to the customer to explain the mechanics of chemicals on concrete and our position on what the customer wanted: a new driveway . The deicers and salts, along with the dripping of chemicals from vehicles from our State and Local governments can and does damage over the years.We are providing some literature from our supplier to help you understand these issues.We do provide a service of sealing your concrete for $1.25/Sq. ft. after the initial sealing we provide in the first year. The homeowner can pressure wash the driveway and then contact our office to request this service.Please feel free to do so if you would like before next winter.Thank you~F.H.
