      They replaced our shingled roof with a metal roof; finished in August 2022. They did a good job, no complaints for that. During the winter of 2022/2023 snow piled up in a valley of the roof and damaged a small area. I did a little repair myself but it really needs a new piece of metal.i contacted ***** the owner and his response was that they would repair it and it wouldn't cost me anything. Shortly after the contact someone came out and took a picture of the damage. Then I waited, and waited, and waited but nobody came to fix it. I called and left messages for months but no calls were returned. I finally blew up his phone to get him to answer. He said the manufacturer would only pay for replacing if the problem was the paint. I told him that I would pay for the repair. He said he was really busy so I gave him more time. Just before Thanksgiving the weather forecast was for a nice day on the following Monday. I got him on the phone again and he said Monday would be fine.Monday came and there was a little snow. Not sure if that is why he did not show up. I got no phone call to explain. Since then he has not answered calls again and seems to have blocked my number because it is always busy.It is a very small area that needs repair. A piece of metal around 2.5 ft square, cut to the proper size is all that is required.

      I never said that it would be repaired by my company free of charge. I told him that it would be a manufacturer warranty issue since the damage was caused by  weather and not from the roof installation. The manufacturer would be the one to either reimburse him or pay the contractor for the repair work. We did not have time this year to take on any repair type of jobs. I appreciate that he chose All Slopes Roofing for his re-roof project. I sent an employee out to his place to assess the damage and take pictures as well as contacted the manufacturer on his behalf free of charge.

       I am rejecting this response because:  Yes, he did initially tell me that it would be free to repair.  But that is besides the point, since a few months later when he said that the manufacturer would not pay for the repair, I said I will pay for the ******************, I can understand that they would want to do their big jobs when they are busy rather than a very small repair job, (maybe an hour or two job).  But a any reputable business would send 1 employee to do a 1 hour job within a time-frame 3 to 4 month period.  And since this 2023 was an exceptionally warm year for Oct, Nov, and Dec, they had an additional 3 months (total about 7 months) to get a 1 hour job done.

      The only way they can make things better where I won't bad mouth them is to repair it at NO CHARGE next spring, before their busy season again.

      I'm sorry but I do not understand. How can he reject me response? The damage to his roof was not caused by my company, it is not something we did, it is not covered by any type of warranty provided by my company. I am not obligated in any way to address the problem. Just because we did one job for him years ago doesn't mean I am required to do every job for him from now on. I don't understand this situation at all, it makes no sense to me. Are you telling me that if someone buys goods and services from a business then that business is responsible for supplying that customer with goods and services forever? Our contract was to do a job, we did that job and we did a good job. So what's the problem?

      In summer of 2021, All Slopes Roofing in ****, ** replaced the old new shingles on my cabin in northern *********. They also installed a single new gutter on one side of the cabin. My problems are with the one gutter that they did install. Here are the problems with it:1. The high point of the gutter is in the middle of the gutter, so that water flows in two directions to both ends of the gutter. This problem should be fixed, so the water flows in one direction only .2.The elbow and downspout for the gutter should discharge to the other end of the gutter. 3.The downspout elbow for the gutter is undersized. The gutter is a 5-inch gutter, but the elbow is only a 3-inch elbow. The downspout needs a bigger elbow. This was the whole point of using the larger gutter size. Past experience with the old gutter shows that a 3-inch elbow will become choked with the pine needles that fall onto the roof . If the small elbow is not replaced by a larger elbow, the gutter will fail.4.On one end of the gutter there are 3 or4 short segments of gutter joined together, instead of a single piece of gutter which should be there. This increases the chance of leaks. The short pieces should be replaced by a single segment of gutter. 5.The end cap is not caulked and is leaking.I told Mr. ************************** the owner of All Slopes Roofing, of these problems by phone about a month ago, and he told me they would be fixed in a week or so, They have not been fixed as of today, November 11, 2021.****************** has not returned my telephone calls, or those of my contractor.The cabin is in far northern *********. I would like these problems to be fixed immediately, before the lake freezes over, so that the gutter will be functioning properly next spring. The gutter covers, which are now in place over the gutter, should be replaced ASAP as well to minimize problems caused by fallen pine needles.Thank you for your assistance.

      Company responded via phone;

      Apologize for the delayed response; We were waiting for the lake to freeze over so we could get out there and take care of it. Now that it has been cold enough and we have the materials I will go out early next week Jan 10,11,or 12th to make the adjustments and repairs. We do want the customer happy.
