****** Heberts name *************** him!! Do not pay until work is done!!!! Dont let his charm fool you! He started a job for us and then talked us into a large remodel job. He started repairing my brick chimney in April and it is almost July and it still is not done. He asked for money to buy materials for our addition we were going to do with him. He said he ordered the materials. I checked and he did not. He ran off with thousands of my vulnerable elderly mothers money along with sets of our keys!!! He said he would return both, but he has not (even after being contacted by police)!!!! His actions are criminal and have had to get authorities and other agencies involved!!!

DO NOT PAY until everything is complete. We had Herb come out to our house to give us an estimate. He was over $3000.00 more than a couple other estimates but he could fit us in over 6 weeks earlier than the other company, so we went with him. He told us that when the work was completed you would never be able to tell that work had been done other than everything would look fantastic. He tore out our old driveway and sidewalk, while doing so he torn up our lawn with the bobcat he was using and told us he would fix it with fresh sod(still has not been done). It was a couple days later after us calling and texting due to him not showing up on the assigned day, that he showed up to have the concrete poured. He showed up a couple days later to do the saw cuts. He told us to call him 3weeks later to remind him to come and up the seal coat and to coat our stair to match. We called him and he said he would be out the next week. We have not seen him or even heard back from him. We have texted and called, with no response. The saw cuts he made for us are not straight, there are still marks on the driveway which he made to show where the cuts should have been. The driveway has a bunch of uneven patches due to him not floating it correctly when the concrete was poured. We have missing grass and bald patches from all the areas that he said he was going to fix. So lets just say you can absolutely tell we had work done and not in the best way! He told us at the very beginning that he know communication was a key to him and he strived to be great with it, he has completely failed in that department! He talks a really good game but the work that was done does not compare to his talk!

DO NOT PAY until absolutely all done! All that was left to do was pull up the forms and make the saw cuts in our new driveway so we paid Herb. He said he would be back the next day or the day after to pull up the forms and make the cuts. He cashed the check the next day but did not return. We called and left messages for over three weeks, but our calls were not returned. After three and a half weeks we were forced to find someone to make the cuts costing us $350.00. Oddly enough the evening of the very day the other contractor made the cuts we got a text - saying he was sorry there had been a family emergency and he would like to make the cuts and seal the driveway to make up for it. We immediately called back, no answer - so we left a voicemail saying the cuts were done but would like the sealant. No response. Called for the next two weeks, left messages and still no response. Two months have gone by since driveway was poured, a month since that text and no communication what so ever.
