This company called me multiple times very rude and very much harassment. I have asked multiple times for proof of this debt and I have been getting refusals to provide this information on top of people telling me when they send this to me I better be ready to pay the balance in full in 30 days. Which is technically a threat and also a very harassing tone of voice. The economy is hard enough already then to go through dealing with insensitive harassing and verbally abusive collections representatives. These people told me multiple times that if I don't pay within a certain amount of time that they are going to take me to court and all types of other things and I don't even know who the company is that they are saying I owe. I used to work in collections and this was one of the most disgusting collections company experiences I have had in a long time and honestly probably ever. This company needs to be shut down immediately, and people need to stop doing business with them.

To Whom it May *********************** are not able to locate ********************** name or other information in our database. We believe she has mistakenly filed a complaint against us when in fact she should be filing a complaint against the actual company she's been dealing with. We are Summit A*R based out of ********, ** and we don't treat people as she is suggesting she is being treated. We invite her to contact our office should she still feel we are the agency that is contacting her but i suspect if she checks into this further, she will find another company is responsible. We would be glad to assist her in locating the actual company that is contacting her.

We'll wait to hear from from her.

       Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I would be more than happy and grateful to accept your help with finding out what company this is, or if this is a scam. When I looked up the company on the BBB this is the only one that popped up with this name, and I say someone else put in almost the exact same complaint. Maybe me and that person are being harassed by the same company/scam? If someone could please call or write me with further suggestions on how to proceed that would be great. Thank you so much.

      To whom it may concern:

This number is not associated with our agency. We also do not have this name in our database so we are quite sure this is not a complaint related to us. I would suggest the consumer correct the complaint to reference the correct agency.

      Thanks!

Summit called me twice, 30 minutes apart, about a Fast Cash payday loan that I never took out. They used my married name, **********, which I have not used since my divorce in February 2019. They claimed it was taken out in 2019. They had the last four of my SSN and claimed they had sent me documentation of the debt, which I have never recieved such a thing. I do not have payday loans. They also said a claim was filed, making it sound like a court case had been filed which it has NOT. NONE of their information is accurate regarding a debt and I want them to stop calling and cease all collection activities. If my credit report is impacted, I will dispute it and proceed to file a damage claim.

I received a phone call from Summit at 6:17 AM local time in clear violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I request Summit cease attempts to contact, as I have no outstanding debts in overdue status. Any further attempts to contact will be treated as harassment and result in a complaint being filed with the California *********************** and possible litigation.

I am writing to file a complaint against Summit Account Resolution, which has violated federal and state laws related to credit reporting and debt collection. Summit accessed my credit report without my consent in order to place an alleged debt on my credit report. Summit did not have my written consent to access any of my information which is a clear violation of the Fair credit reporting act which requires that debt collectors obtain written consent or authorization from consumers before accessing thier credit reports. Furthermore, Summit accessed my Social Security # without my consent or authorization, which is also a violation of the federal and state laws related to identity theft and privacy. In addition, I did recieve a letter from Summit on Feburary 28th, 2023 regarding the alleged debt. I sent a request for validation of the debt but Summit provided deceptive forms to scare me , the forms did not accurately reflect the terms of the original agreement. I have a strong belief that they intended to mislead or confuse me as a consumer. This is a violation of the Fair debt collection practices act. I request that the consumer financial protection bureau investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that Summit Account Resolution complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to credit reporting and debt collection. I also request that Summit Account Resolution provide me with a full refund of any fees or charges associated with their collection activities.

      To Whom it may concern:

**************** has complained on another formal venue (CFPB) several times so we will not be responding in as great of detail as on this other forum. To summarize, **************** is very misinformed on both of his allegations. We have not "accessed his credit report or social security number without his consent" nor have we broken any laws in our process. All information that we have obtained was provided by our creditor client. We have submitted his account to the credit reporting agencies (with a current status of "disputed") which is entirely legal to do with an account in collections. Lastly, he admits that he did receive the back up documentation that he requested. This was  the unmodified back-up documentation that we were provided with by our creditor client Sixt Rental Car and in no way was it meant to "deceive or scare". It's simply back up documentation for him to review to refresh his memory of this matter

We ask that the BBB close this account as frivolous.
