On 9/30/2021 the business owner of Doors-**Us, *********************************, ************************************************ came to our home to measure and provide an estimate on replacing the overhead garage door, re-squaring the tracking, new spring, and 2 new remote openers. He required a downpayment of $4900 to cover the cost of the materials needed prior so he was given a check in the amount of $4900 ( which was cashed on 9/30/2021). After several email and phone conversations, we were told that the new door had come in and we set up the appointment for installation to be completed on 12/20/21.The company did not show up and did not notify us that they were not coming. A total of 4 more appointments over the next several weeks with the company were established with the same results, no show, and no notification. Nobody has been back since the initial visit to provide the estimate and take our money. We have not received any work, materials, or service. We continually have asked for the $4900 to be returned and we keep getting "it is in the mail. " One time it was that he had our address wrong and he was sending if by certified mail and we requested that he provide verification that he did this. Our emails and phone calls now go unanswered. We are senior citizens on a limited income that can not be replaced.We have copies of email communications, the canceled check, and bank transactions. We do not have access on our home computer to download/scan any documents now but if these are needed we can figure out a way to email / scan them to you through our local library.
