I have previously used this pest control service. Last year I was hospitalized and dealt with a chronic illness so debilitating that I could barely care for my children. As part of my treatment I have eliminated the use of chemicals in and around my home. I called the Plunketts Pest Control last month (sometime in March 2023) to let them know I do not want my home sprayed anymore and a manager was supposed to call me back. Nobody ever called, but I figured if I didnt renew the annual service (as I had done every year in the past) then I wouldnt have to worry about receiving service. Today, 4/12/23, while I was out on a walk, Plunketts Pest Control showed up at my house unannounced and proceeded to provide a service to me that I asked to not have. The windows of my home were open and they sprayed chemicals all around the perimeter of my home and into my home through the open windows. This is irreparable. Its not like I can wipe it off or clean the air inside my home. The chemicals are now in my carpets and on my furniture. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable and not paying for this unwanted service wont even begin to fix this for me.Business response

We'd like to begin by sincerely apologizing for this error. The note we had in our system must have been incomplete as it did not cancel your service entirely, which has now been resolved. The cancellation of your services has been initiated within our system and you will no longer be receiving service visits from **********. Additionally, we have refunded this service to the account that you paid from. You should receive those funds within 5-7 business days. Please reach out if there are any issues with this refund.
As for the application that was done to your windows, once it has dried, the product is completely safe, and with the weather conditions of 4/12 (the day the application was made), the product would have dried very quickly. If the windows were open at the time of the application, we recommend wiping down the ledges of the window and framework, but the application would have been very limited as the screen absorbs much of the residue. This was all communicated to your husband, *****, on 4/13 from our regional manager. A label was offered to be sent upon request, and we are waiting for confirmation of your email address to forward that on.
